A Democracy solely 'driven' by 'Capitalistic principles' is in trouble.

A Democracy solely driven by Capitalistic Principles is in trouble. In such a case, the Democracy will never improve itself; never become more efficient; never eliminate the 'non-democratic aspects' of its Political structure; never eliminate Racial discrimination; sexual discrimination; economic injustices; never 'celebrate' the 'Human Condition'. In such a case, the end results of all activity within the Nation will gradually transform the Democratic form into a Plutocratic form, or, an Oligarchic form. The 'focus' of 'such a transformed entity' 'drifts away' from the 'political principles' of 'Governing' with Freedom and Equality. That is not a 'Political Entity' called a 'Nation'; that is closer to an 'Economic Entity' called a 'Corporation' whose sole goal is to 'accumulate' as much as possible, and to be as 'Large and Powerful' as Possible'. How sad; Governing has been replaced by 'accumulation' that is 'motored' by 'Greed', i.e. more and more of the 'same' (money and the 1% ). An economic Institution cannot have Power, that is an 'economic illusion'. It may have 'influence', but, never Power. 'Power only exists in Political Entities' because their Job is to Govern the Bottom of the 'Power relation' found in the 'ancient relation' of the One and the Many; or, the 'Top and the Bottom' of Government. Governments must 'govern'; economies must 'produce' more and more of the same,i.e., products, money, and 'Big Buildings'. The economic form 'changes' every time that a 'new way' or a new product is discovered and can be used for making money. The Democratic form of Government does not change and is always searching for ways to eliminate all 'types of discrimination'; 'imbalances'; and 'problems'; in the Freedom and Equality 'guaranteed' to each and every Real Human being living in the 'condition of togetherness'. In this way, Government 'serves' and provides for the General Welfare of the People.

Democracy can only be driven by Freedom and Equality; Capitalism can only be driven by Profits and Money.

Democracy can only be driven by Freedom and Equality; while capitalism can only be driven by Profits and Money. Democracy that is not motored by Freedom and Equality is not democracy because the essence of the Institution are the 'Many Individuals' that have formed it into a Political Institution. A Political Institution cannot exist without some 'creative Act' or, an Act by the so-called 'Many' that have instituted it; like a Constitution. That 'Act' closes the Gap between the relation of the so-called, the "One and the Many". That relation 'brings together' the Top and the Bottom of the Institution. The Institution is now dependent on its 'Creators' but only to the extent of the 'essence' of the relation. 'That' relation relates to the 'Power to Govern' the 'Many' in Freedom and Equality. There is no other function for the Political relation. The Capitalistic function 'generates money and Profits' for the continued existence of the Economic aspects of the 'Social' or, better said, the 'condition of togetherness'. Obviously, the 'competitive nature' of economic activity i.e., to create profits and money, requires a basic struggle against each Other. In other words, one 'Individual' makes more money than the 'Other'. To 'help' the economy, Legal Fictions or 'artificial persons' were created to generate more and more of the same, or 'Money', 'profits', 'Capital', to help the 'generation of Money' and the 'stabilization' of the Economy. In other words; Legal Fictions became necessary to 'help the economy'. Corporations are Fictions, Money is a fiction, 'profits' is an 'accumulation of a Fiction', So, what have we done, have we just transferred the 'Old Problematic' of the 'One and the Many' to the economic sector? We truly have, but it really does not make any difference,i.e., if we keep the Political principles separate from the Economic principles and if we don't mix the two; and if we allow a 'hegemonic advantage' of the Political Principles of Democracy. Democracy 'must govern', and it can only do so with the Principles of Freedom and Equality.

What is the goal of Democracy? What is the goal of Capitalism?

The goal of Democracy is to form and structure a form of Government and a Social 'condition' that will protect and respect the Freedom and Equality of each and every real Individual within the jurisdiction of the Nation. The Goal of Capitalism is to Make, Create, Stabilize, economic Institutions that will help 'perpetuate' the economic 'condition' called 'more and more of the Same', viz., Money and Profits and large economic 'Institutions' that will 'help' the Individuals in the Social, or, in the 'condition of togetherness'. The goal of both Institutions should be to provide for the 'General Welfare' of the 'Peoples' in the Nation. Of course, we are all aware that once formed into a Political Entity, the 'condition of togetherness' became 'divided into Political Parties; and the Economy, with the help of 'Legal Fictions' called "Corporations", became divided into 'Haves' and 'Have-Nots', or, into the 1% and the 99%. For over 200 years, neither the 'Government' nor 'Capitalism' has 'attempted' to reconcile that 'dichotomy'. Instead, we have a political situation, where the Economy is trying to make 'inroads' into the Political. No!, No!, the Economy is in Political Office! Today's Political 'quagmire' is that the 'economy' is in Office. Economic thinkers, who think in Profit or Loss 'concepts' are 'driving' the ship of State. Is it any wonder that when one listens carefully to so-called 'political statements', they 'smell' like 'economic statements'? Where are the 'Freedom and Equality' concepts in all this? The Political has taken 'Second Place' in the arrangement of the 'condition of togetherness'. What has 'Man' done to 'Man'? From the best Political system we have descended into Plutocracy. How sad. We can blame the Political System or the Economic System, but it sure seems to be a 'Humankind fault'. 'Greed' has overcome 'Politics', or is it our 'Political Correctness'? Where are the Statesmen? We need a real Politician, one that is Strong, and that speaks Politics, and that 'knows' the Place of Politics( Democracy), and the place of Economics. Lets hope 'someone' shows up; if not, we're in a world of shit!

Democracy is the best form of Government. Capitalism is the best Economic Form. But, "never shall the twain meet".

No form of government is perfect; but Democracy is the best form. It's the best form because Governments 'Govern' their 'People' and Democratic Government is "of the People", "by the People" and "for the People". The sole function of Government is to 'Govern'; it has no other reason or purpose for existing. Nations and Governments are 'created' or 'established' by the People. Nations and Governments are Political Institutions. They are not Natural, nor, are they 'born', i.e., in the manner that human beings are parts of Nature and are born. Hence, what better form for a Government, than a Government "of People", "by People" and "for People"? But, there are other important aspects to Governing a Nation or a 'Society' (a high level abstraction, hence, better stated as a "condition of togetherness"), that need elaboration. Each and every real Individual in the "condition of togetherness' needs to have the means for continuing their existence, or, stated differently, 'of survival' within the Nation. That further means that Nations and Governments must provide the 'Institutional means' by which these 'necessities' are made available to all the Individuals in the 'condition of togetherness', hence, the General Welfare. Here, enters Law and Capitalism. ( Ill get to Law later). Capitalism is an 'economic form' without peer. Capitalism is 'Good', its 'Great'. We need Capitalism. But, at this point we must be very, very careful. Capitalism has a 'motor', a 'movement' that insures 'its survival', as an economic Form. Governments also have their 'Motors'. Democratic Governments, 'must Govern'. They have no 'Other function'. At this point great care is necessary. Democratic Governments govern with 'Freedom and Equality'; i.e., each and every real Individual under their jurisdiction is considered Free and Equal. But, Capitalism is motored by competition, Money, and Profits. Capitalism cannot Motor a Democracy and Democracy cannot motor Capitalism. They must work 'together' but, they must remain separate entities. Democratic Governments 'suffer' when they are motored by 'Profits and money'( the 1%). Capitalism 'suffers' when it is motored by 'Freedom and Equality'. Never Shall The Twain Meet.

The term "Social" gives birth to the term "Socialism''; which is used as a weapon for 'political BS'.

The term Social gives birth to the term 'Socialism' which is political BS. "Social" is a high level abstraction that assumes the 'reality' of each and every 'real' Individual in 'Society', or, at the Bottom of Government. Its a Political term and as such should include all the 'real Individuals' within the boundaries of the Bottom or the so-called 'Social Space'. It should include every 'real Individual' at the Bottom of the 'condition of togetherness'. In the 'condition of togetherness', also referred too as the 'Bottom of Government', the Individuals that are 'left out', glaringly 'stand-out' and hence can be 'counted'. But, in 'Socialism', the term is so broad that it merely 'assumes' that everyone is included. Of course, 'political correctness' is full of such generalities. Maybe some of those terms are necessary, but the term " Social" can easily be 'replaced', or 'understood' with the following words; 'the condition of togetherness'. In the 'condition of togetherness', every 'real Individual' is included in the 'condition' and, consequently, can be 'counted'. By, so doing, we 'quantify' the 'term', which enables us to really 'measure the condition'; hence, it becomes easy to measure 'inclusion' and exclusion', and hence, 'Government accountability' becomes possible. That move 'quantifies' the 'Bottom' of democratic Government. It 'quantifies Democracy'. Most, if not all, Nations claiming to be 'Socialistic', are not really concerned with the 'real Individuals' under their care, or with a so-called 'inclusive' Social. They are more concerned with a 'form of Autocratic Rule' with 'favoritism' towards "legal Fictions" called 'Persons' ( corporations) than they are with a form resembling 'real Democratic Government'. Hence, the term 'Socialism' becomes a 'weapon' against any attempt to really include the 'real human beings' at the Bottom' of democratic Government. Do we dare say it, they favor "fake- Persons" instead of 'real human beings'.

The terms "Society" and 'Social' must be distinguished from "the condition of togetherness".

The terms "Society" and the term "Social" must be distinguished from the words " the condition of togetherness". The reason being that the first two terms are very high level abstractions and in referring to 'real' Individuals 'living' in the 'social', cannot afford to lose their 'precision'. The term "condition of togetherness' retains the individual existence of each and every Individual in the 'condition' described as "togetherness". The term 'togetherness', as a term of 'collection' cannot exist unless their is 'someone else' that also 'exists' alongside the 'Others'. In other words the term is 'inclusive' and each Individual can be 'counted',i.e., 'included' or 'excluded' and hence that allows for 'accountability'in Government. The other two terms are 'too abstract' and can be used to 'exclude'. Don't get me wrong, its possible to use the terms ,but not with the same 'precision'. Hence, the 'caution' in the use of the terms. Of course, in the 'relation' between the Top and the Bottom of Government, the Top relates to the Bottom of Government, and the Top must Govern the Bottom and must 'include' each and every 'real' Individual in the 'Social'. No 'real' Individual can be excluded. Government must Govern and that means it must pass Laws which provide Order, and it must 'care and provide' for the 'Social and the General Welfare of its Citizens. Government is a Political Institution and its sole function is to Govern. A Government is not a 'referee'; nor, does it just 'stand-by' while the 'Social deconstructs'; it must 'Govern' and it must 'Govern' democratically. There is no other function for Government. If Government 'fails', it must be replaced.

Every Nation needs a Political 'motor' and an Economic 'motor'.

Every Nation needs a 'motor' i.e. a Political 'motor' as well as an Economic 'motor'. Each of the motors serves as a 'motivational factor' for 'moving', 'accomplishing', a Political and an Economic 'result' within the Nation. Both are essential and 'the end result' serves to 'delineate' the 'form' or the 'structure' of the 'Social or Society' we live in. The 'structure' or 'form' of the Social is basic and applies to every 'Society', whether primitive or technologically sophisticated. But, an 'essential aspect' of the 'basic formation' of the Social also determines the direction that the Nation takes. Of course, both the Political Entity and the Economic Entity are essential aspects of the Nation. The Nation can be Autocratic, or 'Other' variations, or Democratic, or 'Other' variations, and the 'social' can be subject to Autocratic or Democratic Governing. At this point enters the 'Purity' of the 'Governing' factor. If democracy Governs, the Freedom and Equality of every Individual is, or should be, assured. But, a problematic can also enter at this point. That problem is the 'economic factor' or Capitalism. If the Economic factor dominates, or stated differently, if the 'Economic Motor' overwhelms the Political Motor, it becomes dominant and the political motor loses its efficacy. That's exactly what happened when the Government created the Business Corporation and legally considered it as a 'Person' subject to Constitutional protection. An economic 'legal Fiction' created to help the economic sector to achieve stability and, whether foreseen or not, dominance. That move also helped create the 1%. The end result is 'Plutocracy' with 'tinges of Autocracy'; viz., a Government 'of' the 1%, 'by' the Corporate elite, and 'for' the corporate elite. The 'Legal Fiction' has become Master. What has 'become' to Democracy and to Freedom and Equality?

Its very important to distinguish between 'Governing Principles' and 'Economic Principles'.

In a Democracy, there is a clear distinction between 'Governing Principles' and 'Economic Principles'. Of course, every Political Entity, regardless its Political Nature, needs an Economy. But, its important to distinguish between Economic, or, Capitalistic principles, and Democratic Principles. A Democracy is a Government "of the People", "by the People", and "for the People". The People 'create' the Government for the purpose of 'Self-Rule'. We have already said that 'one lone Individual living on an Island, all by him/her self' does not need Government. He or She will learn how to 'cope', how to acquire 'food', how to stay 'safe', how to prolong his or her existence. Perform the 'Thought experiment'. If you do, you will find that in that 'scenario', Government is unnecessary. But, the 'reality' is different. There is not just one Individual on the Island, there are 'millions' of People on the 'Island'. 'Many Peoples' need a Government! But, its the millions of 'People' that 'need Government'; It is never a 'Government' that needs People. Government would not even exist, but for the 'Many People' that need it. Hence, what better 'form' of Government is there, than one that is "of the People", "by the People", and "For the People". Once the Government is established, it has to 'run on' the Freedom and Equality of each and every Individual that helped set up the Democratic form of Government. Economic Principles work differently. The goal is always to make a Profit; to get Larger; to generate 'more and more' of the same; viz., Money. So, what better way to generate huge amounts of money than to 'create Legal Fictions', i. e., Corporations that only 'exist in contemplation of Law'. Already one can see the uneven 'playing field' that renders 'competition' obsolete and favors 'Greed' and 'economic obesity'. That creates the 1%. That creates Plutocracy. That's why Democratic Government cannot run on Economic Principles; Democratic Government must run on 'freedom and Equality'. If a Corporation wants to be considered a 'Person', it should 'live' more democratic, it should be required to have 'Branches' that do 'charitable work', in exchange for the huge 'economic grasp' it has 'been given'. Failing that, it should be dissolved. Democracy created 'Economic Monsters'; its time democracy acquired 'more control' over the business corporation.
