Its very important to distinguish between 'Governing Principles' and 'Economic Principles'.

In a Democracy, there is a clear distinction between 'Governing Principles' and 'Economic Principles'. Of course, every Political Entity, regardless its Political Nature, needs an Economy. But, its important to distinguish between Economic, or, Capitalistic principles, and Democratic Principles. A Democracy is a Government "of the People", "by the People", and "for the People". The People 'create' the Government for the purpose of 'Self-Rule'. We have already said that 'one lone Individual living on an Island, all by him/her self' does not need Government. He or She will learn how to 'cope', how to acquire 'food', how to stay 'safe', how to prolong his or her existence. Perform the 'Thought experiment'. If you do, you will find that in that 'scenario', Government is unnecessary. But, the 'reality' is different. There is not just one Individual on the Island, there are 'millions' of People on the 'Island'. 'Many Peoples' need a Government! But, its the millions of 'People' that 'need Government'; It is never a 'Government' that needs People. Government would not even exist, but for the 'Many People' that need it. Hence, what better 'form' of Government is there, than one that is "of the People", "by the People", and "For the People". Once the Government is established, it has to 'run on' the Freedom and Equality of each and every Individual that helped set up the Democratic form of Government. Economic Principles work differently. The goal is always to make a Profit; to get Larger; to generate 'more and more' of the same; viz., Money. So, what better way to generate huge amounts of money than to 'create Legal Fictions', i. e., Corporations that only 'exist in contemplation of Law'. Already one can see the uneven 'playing field' that renders 'competition' obsolete and favors 'Greed' and 'economic obesity'. That creates the 1%. That creates Plutocracy. That's why Democratic Government cannot run on Economic Principles; Democratic Government must run on 'freedom and Equality'. If a Corporation wants to be considered a 'Person', it should 'live' more democratic, it should be required to have 'Branches' that do 'charitable work', in exchange for the huge 'economic grasp' it has 'been given'. Failing that, it should be dissolved. Democracy created 'Economic Monsters'; its time democracy acquired 'more control' over the business corporation.
