What is the goal of Democracy? What is the goal of Capitalism?

The goal of Democracy is to form and structure a form of Government and a Social 'condition' that will protect and respect the Freedom and Equality of each and every real Individual within the jurisdiction of the Nation. The Goal of Capitalism is to Make, Create, Stabilize, economic Institutions that will help 'perpetuate' the economic 'condition' called 'more and more of the Same', viz., Money and Profits and large economic 'Institutions' that will 'help' the Individuals in the Social, or, in the 'condition of togetherness'. The goal of both Institutions should be to provide for the 'General Welfare' of the 'Peoples' in the Nation. Of course, we are all aware that once formed into a Political Entity, the 'condition of togetherness' became 'divided into Political Parties; and the Economy, with the help of 'Legal Fictions' called "Corporations", became divided into 'Haves' and 'Have-Nots', or, into the 1% and the 99%. For over 200 years, neither the 'Government' nor 'Capitalism' has 'attempted' to reconcile that 'dichotomy'. Instead, we have a political situation, where the Economy is trying to make 'inroads' into the Political. No!, No!, the Economy is in Political Office! Today's Political 'quagmire' is that the 'economy' is in Office. Economic thinkers, who think in Profit or Loss 'concepts' are 'driving' the ship of State. Is it any wonder that when one listens carefully to so-called 'political statements', they 'smell' like 'economic statements'? Where are the 'Freedom and Equality' concepts in all this? The Political has taken 'Second Place' in the arrangement of the 'condition of togetherness'. What has 'Man' done to 'Man'? From the best Political system we have descended into Plutocracy. How sad. We can blame the Political System or the Economic System, but it sure seems to be a 'Humankind fault'. 'Greed' has overcome 'Politics', or is it our 'Political Correctness'? Where are the Statesmen? We need a real Politician, one that is Strong, and that speaks Politics, and that 'knows' the Place of Politics( Democracy), and the place of Economics. Lets hope 'someone' shows up; if not, we're in a world of shit!

Democracy is the best form of Government. Capitalism is the best Economic Form. But, "never shall the twain meet".

No form of government is perfect; but Democracy is the best form. It's the best form because Governments 'Govern' their 'People' and Democratic Government is "of the People", "by the People" and "for the People". The sole function of Government is to 'Govern'; it has no other reason or purpose for existing. Nations and Governments are 'created' or 'established' by the People. Nations and Governments are Political Institutions. They are not Natural, nor, are they 'born', i.e., in the manner that human beings are parts of Nature and are born. Hence, what better form for a Government, than a Government "of People", "by People" and "for People"? But, there are other important aspects to Governing a Nation or a 'Society' (a high level abstraction, hence, better stated as a "condition of togetherness"), that need elaboration. Each and every real Individual in the "condition of togetherness' needs to have the means for continuing their existence, or, stated differently, 'of survival' within the Nation. That further means that Nations and Governments must provide the 'Institutional means' by which these 'necessities' are made available to all the Individuals in the 'condition of togetherness', hence, the General Welfare. Here, enters Law and Capitalism. ( Ill get to Law later). Capitalism is an 'economic form' without peer. Capitalism is 'Good', its 'Great'. We need Capitalism. But, at this point we must be very, very careful. Capitalism has a 'motor', a 'movement' that insures 'its survival', as an economic Form. Governments also have their 'Motors'. Democratic Governments, 'must Govern'. They have no 'Other function'. At this point great care is necessary. Democratic Governments govern with 'Freedom and Equality'; i.e., each and every real Individual under their jurisdiction is considered Free and Equal. But, Capitalism is motored by competition, Money, and Profits. Capitalism cannot Motor a Democracy and Democracy cannot motor Capitalism. They must work 'together' but, they must remain separate entities. Democratic Governments 'suffer' when they are motored by 'Profits and money'( the 1%). Capitalism 'suffers' when it is motored by 'Freedom and Equality'. Never Shall The Twain Meet.

The term "Social" gives birth to the term "Socialism''; which is used as a weapon for 'political BS'.

The term Social gives birth to the term 'Socialism' which is political BS. "Social" is a high level abstraction that assumes the 'reality' of each and every 'real' Individual in 'Society', or, at the Bottom of Government. Its a Political term and as such should include all the 'real Individuals' within the boundaries of the Bottom or the so-called 'Social Space'. It should include every 'real Individual' at the Bottom of the 'condition of togetherness'. In the 'condition of togetherness', also referred too as the 'Bottom of Government', the Individuals that are 'left out', glaringly 'stand-out' and hence can be 'counted'. But, in 'Socialism', the term is so broad that it merely 'assumes' that everyone is included. Of course, 'political correctness' is full of such generalities. Maybe some of those terms are necessary, but the term " Social" can easily be 'replaced', or 'understood' with the following words; 'the condition of togetherness'. In the 'condition of togetherness', every 'real Individual' is included in the 'condition' and, consequently, can be 'counted'. By, so doing, we 'quantify' the 'term', which enables us to really 'measure the condition'; hence, it becomes easy to measure 'inclusion' and exclusion', and hence, 'Government accountability' becomes possible. That move 'quantifies' the 'Bottom' of democratic Government. It 'quantifies Democracy'. Most, if not all, Nations claiming to be 'Socialistic', are not really concerned with the 'real Individuals' under their care, or with a so-called 'inclusive' Social. They are more concerned with a 'form of Autocratic Rule' with 'favoritism' towards "legal Fictions" called 'Persons' ( corporations) than they are with a form resembling 'real Democratic Government'. Hence, the term 'Socialism' becomes a 'weapon' against any attempt to really include the 'real human beings' at the Bottom' of democratic Government. Do we dare say it, they favor "fake- Persons" instead of 'real human beings'.

The terms "Society" and 'Social' must be distinguished from "the condition of togetherness".

The terms "Society" and the term "Social" must be distinguished from the words " the condition of togetherness". The reason being that the first two terms are very high level abstractions and in referring to 'real' Individuals 'living' in the 'social', cannot afford to lose their 'precision'. The term "condition of togetherness' retains the individual existence of each and every Individual in the 'condition' described as "togetherness". The term 'togetherness', as a term of 'collection' cannot exist unless their is 'someone else' that also 'exists' alongside the 'Others'. In other words the term is 'inclusive' and each Individual can be 'counted',i.e., 'included' or 'excluded' and hence that allows for 'accountability'in Government. The other two terms are 'too abstract' and can be used to 'exclude'. Don't get me wrong, its possible to use the terms ,but not with the same 'precision'. Hence, the 'caution' in the use of the terms. Of course, in the 'relation' between the Top and the Bottom of Government, the Top relates to the Bottom of Government, and the Top must Govern the Bottom and must 'include' each and every 'real' Individual in the 'Social'. No 'real' Individual can be excluded. Government must Govern and that means it must pass Laws which provide Order, and it must 'care and provide' for the 'Social and the General Welfare of its Citizens. Government is a Political Institution and its sole function is to Govern. A Government is not a 'referee'; nor, does it just 'stand-by' while the 'Social deconstructs'; it must 'Govern' and it must 'Govern' democratically. There is no other function for Government. If Government 'fails', it must be replaced.

Every Nation needs a Political 'motor' and an Economic 'motor'.

Every Nation needs a 'motor' i.e. a Political 'motor' as well as an Economic 'motor'. Each of the motors serves as a 'motivational factor' for 'moving', 'accomplishing', a Political and an Economic 'result' within the Nation. Both are essential and 'the end result' serves to 'delineate' the 'form' or the 'structure' of the 'Social or Society' we live in. The 'structure' or 'form' of the Social is basic and applies to every 'Society', whether primitive or technologically sophisticated. But, an 'essential aspect' of the 'basic formation' of the Social also determines the direction that the Nation takes. Of course, both the Political Entity and the Economic Entity are essential aspects of the Nation. The Nation can be Autocratic, or 'Other' variations, or Democratic, or 'Other' variations, and the 'social' can be subject to Autocratic or Democratic Governing. At this point enters the 'Purity' of the 'Governing' factor. If democracy Governs, the Freedom and Equality of every Individual is, or should be, assured. But, a problematic can also enter at this point. That problem is the 'economic factor' or Capitalism. If the Economic factor dominates, or stated differently, if the 'Economic Motor' overwhelms the Political Motor, it becomes dominant and the political motor loses its efficacy. That's exactly what happened when the Government created the Business Corporation and legally considered it as a 'Person' subject to Constitutional protection. An economic 'legal Fiction' created to help the economic sector to achieve stability and, whether foreseen or not, dominance. That move also helped create the 1%. The end result is 'Plutocracy' with 'tinges of Autocracy'; viz., a Government 'of' the 1%, 'by' the Corporate elite, and 'for' the corporate elite. The 'Legal Fiction' has become Master. What has 'become' to Democracy and to Freedom and Equality?

Its very important to distinguish between 'Governing Principles' and 'Economic Principles'.

In a Democracy, there is a clear distinction between 'Governing Principles' and 'Economic Principles'. Of course, every Political Entity, regardless its Political Nature, needs an Economy. But, its important to distinguish between Economic, or, Capitalistic principles, and Democratic Principles. A Democracy is a Government "of the People", "by the People", and "for the People". The People 'create' the Government for the purpose of 'Self-Rule'. We have already said that 'one lone Individual living on an Island, all by him/her self' does not need Government. He or She will learn how to 'cope', how to acquire 'food', how to stay 'safe', how to prolong his or her existence. Perform the 'Thought experiment'. If you do, you will find that in that 'scenario', Government is unnecessary. But, the 'reality' is different. There is not just one Individual on the Island, there are 'millions' of People on the 'Island'. 'Many Peoples' need a Government! But, its the millions of 'People' that 'need Government'; It is never a 'Government' that needs People. Government would not even exist, but for the 'Many People' that need it. Hence, what better 'form' of Government is there, than one that is "of the People", "by the People", and "For the People". Once the Government is established, it has to 'run on' the Freedom and Equality of each and every Individual that helped set up the Democratic form of Government. Economic Principles work differently. The goal is always to make a Profit; to get Larger; to generate 'more and more' of the same; viz., Money. So, what better way to generate huge amounts of money than to 'create Legal Fictions', i. e., Corporations that only 'exist in contemplation of Law'. Already one can see the uneven 'playing field' that renders 'competition' obsolete and favors 'Greed' and 'economic obesity'. That creates the 1%. That creates Plutocracy. That's why Democratic Government cannot run on Economic Principles; Democratic Government must run on 'freedom and Equality'. If a Corporation wants to be considered a 'Person', it should 'live' more democratic, it should be required to have 'Branches' that do 'charitable work', in exchange for the huge 'economic grasp' it has 'been given'. Failing that, it should be dissolved. Democracy created 'Economic Monsters'; its time democracy acquired 'more control' over the business corporation.

Corporate CEO's are 'driving' the Ship of State; democracy is in 'trouble'.

Corporate CEO's are driving the Ship of State;... Democracy is in trouble. An 'economic engine' cannot drive a 'Political Entity'. First and foremost, we are a Political Entity and then we have a 'successful economy'. The Political Entity is the Can; the Economy is the contents of the Can. The economy functions with 'Profits'; and it functions on a Huge scale. The motivations for having and creating a 'huge Corporation' are different from the motivations for Governing a Nation; particularly a Democratic Nation. A Democratic Nation is motored by Freedom and Equality and it must also exist on the International scene with other Governments that may not be Democratic. If a business CEO controls a Democracy and he wants to control and enlarge the 'sphere' of influence of the Democracy, on the International scale, he cannot do it with a 'Profits motor'; he needs a 'Freedom and Equality' motor. For example; sending weapons to an allied and then 'billing' them for the weapons will not work; that is ludicrous. That's an 'Economic move' not a 'Political move'. 'Wrong motor' for a Political Entity. Heaven helps us. We are 'doing business' with 'Political entities'. To be sure, business is possible between political entities, but the two motors cannot be 'confused' or 'mixed', and they certainly cannot be 'misused'. We need 'Statesmen' or 'Stateswomen' at the helms. We usually criticize Politicians, but we sure need some right now. Even 'political correctness' is better then a 'Businessman' doing 'business as usual'. Truly, Governing 'has changed', but don't make the mistake of 'putting the wrong motor' at the Top of a Political Entity.

Democracy helped create a Corporate Society; but Corporations cannot function with Freedom and Equality.

The Freedom and Equality that 'motors' Democracy helped 'create' a Corporate Society; but, Corporations cannot 'function' or be 'motored' with Freedom and Equality; they need 'competition' and 'Profits and Money'. Take away Profits and Money from a 'corporate nature' or from its 'Person-hood' and you take away the very 'nature' or the 'motor' that mobilizes the Capitalistic impulse. Capitalism requires 'competition' and competition requires 'dog-eat-dog-tactics'; not Freedom and Equality. It squashes the 'little guy'; it destroys the 'small' and creates 'huge Corporate Giants'. What happens to Democracy or the 'Freedom and Equality' required by a Democratic Social? Since the 'existence' of the Corporate nature is protected by Law, why can't it also be required to be a 'Good Citizen'? Of course, you ask, how? Well, lets look at that. The Corporation owes its very existence to Law; hence, Law can also require, as part of that existence, that every 'Corporate person' that exists within a Democracy also have 'Sections'; 'Departments', 'Agencies', Branches, within their Corporate nature which 'helps and contributes' to the 'General Welfare' of the Social. Obviously, Corporations make 'huge Profits' because they were given a huge 'economic grasp'. That economic grasp exceeds the 'Real Individuals' grasp and also the 'small corporate grasp' of 'essential corporate natures' within the Social. Probably the so-called 1% comes from the hoarding of huge corporate profits. The corporation owes its existence to the 'Democratic spirit', so there is no reason why its corporate structure cannot be required to organize itself in a manner that contributes to the General Welfare, as required by the Constitution. All 'real' citizens 'contribute' to the General Welfare by being Law abiding. Corporations should be required to do the same thing. If they fail to live more 'democratically', their Charters should be 'modified' or 'yanked'.

A Great Democracy can 'include' a successful Capitalism; but, a successful Capitalism cannot include a great Democracy.

A Great Democracy can include a successful Capitalism; but, a successful Capitalism will never include a Great Democracy. Why not? Simply because the Democracy is the 'Container' or 'Can' and Capitalism is the 'contents' of the 'Can'. Capitalism belongs 'in' a Democracy; but, Democracy cannot be contained 'within' Capitalism. Democracy is driven by Freedom and equality; while Capitalism is driven by Profits and money. Try driving Democracy with Profits and money; it wont 'go'. If it does 'go', its because its no longer a democracy, but a 'kingdom of sorts'. By that analogy, I mean the King becomes the 'can' and the King owns 'everything', including the 'serfs'( People). Real Democracy is 'motored', 'motivated', 'moved', by the Freedom and Equality of Each and Every Individual living within the Borders of the Nation. That does not include Legal Fictions like corporations, that exist, only in contemplation of law. They are not real People; they are the 'contents' of the Can. Their existence as 'contents' is entirely dependent on the 'democratic nature' of the 'can', or, the Nation. The 'contents' can never drive the 'can'; the can 'drives', 'determines', and 'holds' the contents. Of course, the 'political obligations' of the 'can' are 'tremendous'. It must determine the 'democratic structure' that will 'house' and 'drive democracy and its 'contents', namely, a successful Capitalism. Capitalism must also recognize its obligation to 'live' a 'democratic Life'. Capitalism can exist within Democracy. By employing Metaphors and stretching Language a bit, we can see clearly that Capitalism can exist 'within' Democracy and that we 'would never have' a democracy, if we allow 'Profits and Money' to drive Democracy. We need 'Politicians' at the helm; not businessmen. A Businessman can drive a Corporation, but she/he cannot drive a Nation; but Politicians must also 'wake up', and forget 'political correctness'; and 'learn' how to be a 'States-person'; i.e. a 'Real' Representative of 'all' the People.

Capitalism is important; it can create a Great Economy; but, it cannot drive Democracy.

Capitalism is important, but it cannot 'drive' a Democracy. There is nothing wrong with a successful Capitalistic economy. But, keep in mind that Capitalism is based on competition and Profits. Without competition and the generation of Profits, it cant go anywhere. It can't 'grow'. Competition is just the attitude that I can 'produce', 'provide', or 'sell you', 'some need' at a more 'reasonable price' than the next Guy. Economic competition makes for big, incremental increases in productivity, sales, and profits. That, basically, is an economic system that functions and requires 'profits', sometimes, lots of Profits. Being 'large' or 'huge' is an essential element. Hence; it also requires a larger 'Person-hood'; hence, the necessity of the Legal Fiction; namely, the Corporate structure that exists only "in contemplation of Law". But, keep in mind that 'Capitalism and Profits' are economic principles and not 'Governmental Principles'. Governmental Principles are designed to Govern all Individuals that exist in a 'condition of togetherness', next to each Other, as 'Independent' Individuals. Each Individual is unique, sacred, and is entitled, as a human being, to be 'Free and Equal' within the Governmental system. There is no 'competition' between Freedom and Equality. No one Individual gets 'more' or 'less' Freedom and Equality. In a real Democracy everyone is Equal and everyone should enjoy his/ her Freedom within the confines of Law. In other words, an Economy is 'motored' by 'profits and Largess', and a Democracy is motored by Freedom and Equality. Each system has its 'particular motor' and 'neither system' can be motored by the 'motor' of the 'Other System'. It is 'economic suicide' to have an economy driven by Freedom and Equality, and its 'Governmental suicide' to have a Democracy driven by 'Profits and competition'. Each must remain within its proper Institution. An Economy belongs WITHIN its Governmental system. But, unfortunately, we 'mix' the Two. Hence, all the 'economic' and 'democratic' problems. 'That' accounts for the 1%; lack of a 'living wage'; Legal Fictions or Corporations getting 'more and more attributes' of a 'real, living human Being'; and our Leaders are more concerned with 'Trade' than with 'Freedom and Equality'. How sad; we are 'governed' with Economic principles: the legal fictions, Corporations, are becoming 'more' and 'more' Real; and Democracy has gone 'out the window'. Hello Alice! can we come in?; we too, live in a 'Wonderland'.

Tuesday, April 11, 2017

Greedy Capitalism cannot 'drive' a Real democracy; only Freedom and Equality can drive Democracy.

Greedy Capitalism cannot drive Democracy; only Freedom and Equality can drive a real Democracy. The motor of a Capitalistic economy is 'Profits'; only 'Profits' 'count' in a highly successful Economy. If the profitable fails, the economy fails. Of course, profits and so-called economic principles can generate a very healthy 'National economy'. However, we cannot make the mistake of equating the 'driving force' of economies with the 'driving force' of Democracies. The two phenomena are different, and the actual fact is that a 'Real democracy' cannot survive 'within' a 'dominant economy'; but, the 'Contrary' is also a fact; i.e. a 'successful economy' must exist 'within a Real Democracy'; and a Real Democracy must be 'driven' by Freedom and Equality. Try building a 'successful economy' in an Autocratic Nation. It wont work. Everything belongs to the Autocrat, including the Individuals Freedom and Equality. Of course, we know that Corporations are not 'real Persons'. Nevertheless, certain aspects of 'Corporate Person-hood' is protected by Constitutional Law because that 'legal fiction' is essential to a 'successful economy'. But, its still a 'Fiction'. Its not real, and we cannot make the mistake of equating Economic principles with Political principles. Democracy can only be driven by Freedom and Equality and that 'driving force' applies to each and every 'real Individual' living in a Democracy. A problematic arises when these Individuals begin to 'value money' and 'profits' more than 'Freedom and Equality'. This causes a shift in the 'value system' of a 'real democracy'. The 'shift' is towards the economic and away from democratic principles. The end result is a 1% holding most of the medium of exchange. Individuals living in a Democracy have a duty to 'value' and 'protect' the Freedom and Equality that helps propel the democratic spirit. Without that 'democratic spirit', we could easily become the most 'successful economy' in the world, and still have 'millions of real Individuals' living in 'poverty' and 'squalor'. How sad; 'Economic Principles' overpowers 'Political Principles'. We need to get it straight; the 'Economic' belongs 'within' the Political; then a 'successful economy' can benefit a 'Democratic Bottom'.

Real Democracy has been diluted by Party Loyalty and a greedy Capitalistic economy.

Real Democracy has been diluted by 'Party loyalty' and a Greedy Capitalistic economy. We live in a 'Condition of Togetherness' which embraces Millions of human beings. In a real democracy, each and every Human Being, 'counts' as a 'necessary element', of the 'condition of togetherness'. That is to say, each Individual is 'real'( unlike a Corporation that is a Legal Fiction and only exists "in contemplation of Law"); each Individual is 'Free'; each Individual is 'Equal'. Democratic Government has a duty to Govern the 'Condition of togetherness, in a Constitutional manner. One basic problematic is that once a 'condition of togetherness', or a Social, forms, it divides itself into 'Different Groups'; institutionally referred too as Political Parties. The result is that a 'tension' is created by institutionalizing a 'point of view'. Then, a so-called Loyalty kicks in and never shall the twain meet. Don't get me wrong. There's nothing wrong with Parties if, and only if, the parties are all 'democratic'. If all Parties are democratic, why should there be any antagonism between them, other then, different modes of accomplishing the same democratic goal? Such differences should not call for 'vicious Political Fighting'. Democracy is diluted when the Parties become antagonistic and merely base their 'antagonism' on 'Party- Loyalty'. How sad; Representatives playing 'childish games'. The further complication kicks in when one Party favors 'legal Fictions', which are not 'real human beings', and which can only function by means of 'economic principles' called 'Profits' and not 'Political principles' of Freedom and Equality. Greed infiltrates the Real Democracy and turns it into a 'Capitalistic Social' based on 'Haves' and 'Have-nots'. The only salvation for Politics is an Objective Branch in a Democracy of Three Branches. But, the irony is that the Third Branch, (the Supreme Court) is 'ultimately' 'selected', 'elected', by the other Two Branches constituted of 'Party-loyal' Representatives, who advance their Institutionalized point of view. How sad. The end-result is a 'purported' Objective Supreme Court that decides cases based on 'prior historical decisions' that no longer apply to an 'advanced technological society'. Democracy is 'diluted'; the Economy is 'installed into a 'Political System' that 'should' Represent the Freedom and Equality of each and every 'real' Human being. Humanity Counts.

The Bottom Line of 'any' Form of Government should be its 'People'.

The Bottom Line in any Democracy is its 'People'. A Democracy is a form of Government, but its the Individuals in a democracy who decide what form the Government should take. Once the Form is established, e.g., a written Constitution, its up to the 'People' to contain 'political activity' within the 'confines' of the 'concept'. An Individual who lives in Freedom and Equality, in a democracy, should not be 'Arbitrary and Selfish'. Why? Simply, because the behavior of 'any' Individual, especially someone in a position of Power, can 'establish and set' the 'patterns' that will be 'emulated' within that Democracy. 'Arbitrariness and selfishness' establishes a 'center of gravity' for the 'persona', or, 'personality', in the Individual, and, by 'extension', establishes a 'pattern' for the 'Others' to follow. Those 'Others', who 'properly' live in 'Political Freedom and Equality', should see themselves as 'Equal' to any 'Other human being', regardless of National or International boundaries, and should have the Freedom to 'Live accordingly'. That Life should characterize the 'daily experience' of all 'Human Beings', regardless of where they Live, and regardless their form of Government. That 'attitude' demolishes 'egoism'and and 'arbitrary political postures' of 'superiority' within the 'population' and the 'Nations'. There are 'many Nations' in the World, but there is only 'One World' and all 'Peoples' in the World are Human Beings. 'People Power' is truly a Great Power. Its often said that 'we are all in the same Boat'. How true, but we must 'enlarge the Boat' to a Planetary Scale. Its not a 'small Boat' folks, humanity exists on the whole Planet, and its time we begin to see the 'Human Condition' for what it is. We are 'all Human' and we are 'all' on the 'Same Planet'.

Democracy has been 'decapitated' by Capitalism.

Democracy has been 'decapitated' by Capitalism. A Democracy is not a Business Entity; its a Form of Government. Such a 'political Form', can only be 'motored' by the Freedom and Equality of 'each and every' Real Individual being governed. Corporations are not included as 'Real Individuals' because they are Legal Fictions and exist only in contemplation of Law. Of course, corporations may have needed, at some time, Legal protection by Law or by Government, but that does not make them 'Real Human Persons'. They may be 'Citizens' in a Democracy, but they must also comply with the rules and Laws of 'Citizenship' and 'democratic conduct'. The purpose of the Constitution is to 'constitute' a 'Democratic Nation' of 'Three branches' and to form a Government "of the People"; "by the People" and "for the People". A Democratic Nation must be Governed in a democratic manner. A Business Entity is not a Democratic Nation nor can it be motored democratically; i.e. by Freedom and Equality. To attempt to 'motor', or operate, a 'Business Entity' with 'Freedom and Equality' would be disastrous for the Business. In the same manner, to attempt to 'motor' or operate a Democratic Nation with 'Profits' and 'business acumen' is disastrous to the Nation. So, why do we have CEO's and businessmen living in the White House? They do not know how to Govern! They just know how to make money! Hopefully, we have learned something about 'real Democracy'; about the 'Fat' 1%; and about 'obsolete Governing Institutions' ( Electoral College) that clearly demonstrate that 'we cannot live by Profits alone'. We need to 'wake up' to a 'genuine experience' of 'Real Freedom' and 'Real Equality'. It probably cannot be done in 'one fell swoop'; but we can start by overruling CITIZENS UNITED: that Decision was just about 'the fox guarding the chicken coop'.

Monday, March 20, 2017

Plutocracy in the White House will dismantle Real Democracy.

Plutocracy in the White House can only result in a dismantling of Democracy. A Plutocratic 'motor' runs on Profits and not Freedom and Equality. It's obvious that Plutocratic Democratic Government is an Oxymoron. A Democratic Government runs and operates on Freedom and Equality, not Profits. Hence, one cannot have a 'Plutocratic democratic Government'. Its an illusion to think that a 1%=er can govern with Freedom and Equality. The effects of 'such a Government' has 'great consequences' in any Democratic Nation, wherein its installed. However, the consequences on the International Scene are even greater. The reason for that is that on a National scale, much re-arrangement of 'Institutions' may take place, but it remains a National matter and a National problematic. However, Internationally, the results are 'extra-National' and hence the results can easily lead to War. Many Second World Nations are not concerned with making 'Profits'; but with 'survival'. A 1%=er will never 'share his wealth'; nor will S/he be concerned with the 'Freedom and Equality' of anyone else. His/Her main concern is Profits, not 'humanity' or 'democracy'. The old 'Kings' of History were never concerned with bettering the 'economic welfare' or the 'well- being' of the Peasants. "Every man a King"!, you never heard that!; because, 'That' never happened. "Of course", you will say, "the situation is different today"; yes, but the 'Greedy basis' for such 'Egoism' is not. The difference is that today the 'People' have had a 'taste' of 'real democracy', and it wont be long before the Plutocrats become aware of the fact that you don't 'mess' with the "People" in a Democracy. After all, 'the People' created a Government "of the People"; "by the People and "for the People".

The 'Integrity' of the 'Condition' means the Individuals are 'Real' and they retain their 'Unique Individuality".

The 'Integrity' of the 'Condition of Togetherness' means that the 'Real' Individuals that constitute the 'Condition' retain their Real and Unique Individuality. 'Corporations' are 'not real' because they exist only 'in contemplation of Law'. Each 'Real Human Being' retains his Individuality and never lose's the realness of his/her Nature. Each Individual counts; each has uniqueness and is included in composing the 'condition of togetherness'. In other words, each Individual is part of the 'Social'.( there's that word again) But, notice how easy we 'slide into language' and use words that are very 'high level abstractions', and although a Noun, does not convey the 'real nature' of being a 'Real Individual'. Abstractions tend to be 'empty and vacuous' and their 'generality' 'free floats' above 'Realness', suffering, and pain. Corporations are not 'Real'. They are 'clusters of 'invented economic units' that also exist in the 'Social', but that are 'given more Reality' than the Human condition. Why? Simply because we are no longer a 'Real Democracy'; we are a Capitalistic Economy, and Capitalism is 'Driven by Profits'. Capitalism rules; and Democracy has 'attenuated itself' into a heap of 'real, mangled, parts, or bodies', that need an economy in order to survive in a 'Surreal World'. Capitalism; Corporate Society; 'Alice in Wonderland'; the Surreal; Rules. I am One; I am Real; You are One; You are Real; We are Many; We are real; and our 'condition of togetherness' is Real. But, the Surreal (1%) rules. Try to notice how the 1% will 'never grow' into the 5%. The 1% never grows, it just gets 'Fatter', and 'Fatter', but always remains the 1%. That's all. You wonder why the 1% never gets 'larger'? Because, it 'excludes' the Real, the Real Individuals that really 'count', and only includes the 'Surreal'. How sad. We live in Alice in Wonderland and we 'dream' of living in 'Freedom and Equality'.

The Plutocrats are in the 'White House', but; "the Condition of Togetherness" has 'Integrity'.

Political Theory is clear; a Democracy is a Government "of the People"; "by the People"; and "for the People". The People, at the Bottom of Government, set the 'pace' for all 'Political activity' within the Nation. 'All the People', at the 'Bottom of Government', constitute a "Condition of Togetherness". Of course, every Nation also needs an Economy. That's clear also. But, there's a 'huge difference' between a Political system being 'motored' or 'driven' by 'Freedom and Equality', and one being 'motored' or 'driven', by 'economic principles'. To be sure, a Democratic political system cannot survive the so-called 'economic motor' or 'profits' motor of the economy. If the Plutocrats are in the White House, democracy will slowly ( maybe not so slowly) deconstruct. Already we read that the slogan " make America Great again" does not apply to the Plutocrats, or their Family; nor will they apply to the Plutocrats in the 'Bandido Cabinet'. Manufacturing has received a 'little help'; but everyone else, or, the 'Service Industry', was completely excluded.( the 'Minimum Wage' will not go up; "they get enough already") Well, the "legal fictions", or the "Corporations" are the ones who do the 'manufacturing',( not the little guy), and the 'Plutocrats in the White House' "own the Corporations"; so how does that add up? Simply; Democracy is dying or dead! The Plutocrats are 'in'. Government is 'no longer a Democratic Government', or, a 'democratic Institution'; the machinery of Government 'no longer functions' for the benefit of the "People". How sad. But, remember, "the People", at the Bottom', the 99%, are still 'alive and well'. They can still 'organize'; and never forget, the 'condition of togetherness' at the Bottom of Government is still "a condition"; a condition "of people", "by People"; and "for People". "Democratic Government" may be at a 'stand-still' but, the 'Condition of Togetherness', is 'alive and well', and the 'condition' has Integrity.

Democracy 'slips' into 'Plutocracy or Capitalism' ; and then, claims to be a 'Democracy'.

Ponder the transitional states from a 'Democratic Political Ideology' to a 'Capitalistic Economic Ideology'. The Freedom and Equality which applies to each and every Real Individual in the Social, acquires 'too much slippage' and then 'gradually slips' into an 'Economic Posture'. That 'economic posture' must be 'motored' by 'Profits' and requires 'more and more' of the same, viz., a 'medium of exchange' called 'Money'. If an economy is not motored by Profits, it will not be considered 'successful enough' to support all the Real People at the Bottom of Democratic Government. That's exactly what has happened. Unfortunately, the end result is that the 'medium of exchange'( money) has been hoarded by the 1%. Of course, the 'economy' is necessary in a Democracy but, the 'hoarding' is not; its a Medium of exchange. It's not that difficult to see, that a 'successful economy' is one thing, and using the 'Motor' of 'that economy' as the 'motor' of a Democracy is quite another thing. An 'Economy' cannot be motored by 'Freedom and Equality', it must be motored by 'Profits'. Of course, the reverse is also true; a Democracy cannot be motored by Profits, it must be motored by Freedom and Equality. A 'Profits motor' in a 'Democracy' will not work.( Never shall the Twain meet) So, the question is how did we get that way, or how did the 'human condition' allow such a 'problematic' to take place. Well, the truth is that it was not the 'human condition', as such, but the 'so-called human condition' of the so-called 1%. Its Sad, but its true. The so-called 'human condition' of the (1%) has been 'overcome' by 'Greed'. Yes, the 1% has lost that 'true feeling' of what 'Freedom and Equality' for everyone, 'is really about', and, sadly, they have replaced it with an 'economic value system' that can only run on 'Money". Money is a fiction; Corporations are legal Fictions; the 'size and value' of corporations is based on their 'valuations', which is founded on 'fictional assets'. Are we in Alice in Wonderland? How Sad, 'Fiction' has taken over 'Reality'. You 'wanna bet' that 'War' is not a fiction???

When the 1% governs a Democracy; the 'democracy' transforms into a Plutocracy.

When the 1% takes over a Democracy; the 'demise' of democracy gives 'birth' to a Plutocracy. That means that the Top of Government becomes 'motored' by economic principles, instead of Democratic principles. Plutocracy is motored by 'Money', or the 'Haves', not 'Democracy'. Plutocracy is motored by economic Principles, not Political Principles. Plutocrats are never Politically motivated, they usually do not have a 'single political bone' in their Body. But, don't kid yourself, they know that Political Office has 'Political Power' and they also 'aspire to Power'. In other words, a Plutocrat is not concerned with the 'Freedom and Equality' of the Individual, at the Bottom of Government; he is concerned with economic Principles 'driven' by Profits which produce 'more and more' of the same, viz., Money. His or her primary concern will be to retain the same level of 'Economic welfare', especially 'for the People', or, to promote 'higher levels' of economic welfare, which accrues to the benefit of the 'Plutocratic arrangement'. Plutocracies usually do not become Democracies ( unless there is a Social Revolution), but Democracies can 'slip into' Plutocracies 'very easily'. The only requirement for a Democracy to 'slip into' a Plutocracy, is that the 'political focus' changes from Freedom and Equality of every Individual, to 'more and more of the same', or, simply, Money. 'Money' is a 'result', a 'result' of an Economic Principle, which has replaced the Political Principle of Freedom and Equality. A Plutocrat usually appears politically inept, politically unsophisticated, completely untutored in Political Principles, and economically 'heavy', or solely concerned with Money. The 1% holds the 'medium of exchange' 'hostage' and that means that the 'Bottom of Government( the People)' will no longer have an opportunity to work, invest, save, or use, a medium of exchange that was meant to 'circulate'. The 99% will have less than they do now, and the system will be so-changed that the 'democratic spirit' will become 'helpless', effete, in a 'social system' designed to make 'more profits' for the 1% and 'less' and 'less', for the People. Don't be fooled by promises of 'more money', 'more wages', 'more benefits', 'more Jobs', for the Individual. In a Plutocracy, all 'benefits' translate into 'more Profits' for the 1% and the Corporations. The 1% and the 'Corporations' will get 'Fatter'; the 99% will get 'thinner'. Where are the Statesmen?

Democracy can be the best Government in the World; but, the People must protect the 'Political Engine' and the 'Ideologies' that 'drives' it.

A 'Real Democracy' is the best Government in the World; but, the People must 'cultivate' and 'protect' the 'Engine' and the 'Political Ideology' that drives it, viz., the Freedom and Equality of 'each and every Real Individual' situated at the Bottom of the Government Triad. That is not as simple as it may sound. One of the biggest barriers, to a 'real Democratic Engine', is the division into Political Parties. The second barrier is the creation of 'artificial Persons', or the so-called 'Corporate Nature'. The First barrier 'saps' the basic 'energy of democracy', or, the 'Engine itself', into opposite political factions that oppose each Other; while the Second barrier 'diffuses' the democratic 'values' of Freedom and Equality by creating 'artificial human beings', or 'Persons'. The Corporate Nature is not real; it only exists in 'contemplation of law'. Its a Legal Fiction. In relation to the first Barrier, is it possible that the two Parties are both 'Democratic' in Ideology? If that was the case, the 'difference' in the 'Democratic goals' would be 'similar', although the 'means' of achievement might be different. Is that the case, or, are they, in fact, 'in opposition'. Well, there might be some 'similarity' in the Parties Political Ideology, but history tells us, that Political Parties have always been in 'opposition'. In some cases they are even referred to as 'The Opposition'( and never shall the twain meet). The Second Barrier is that the Corporate nature has become a 'Person' like you and I, and that 'Corporate Person' keeps acquiring 'more and more' 'human characteristics'. Today, it can even 'participate in Politics' by 'giving Money' to campaigns and the Political process. The Democratic Party 'purportedly' favors the Freedom and Equality of the 'Real Individuals' at the Bottom of the Government Triad; while the Republican Party favors the 'Republic nature' of the Government; the 'Corporate nature' of the social; and the so-called 1%, i.e.,those Individuals who hold the 'medium of exchange'(money) hostage. Consequently, the 'political engine' of 'Freedom and Equality has been divided into 'opposite Parties'; and the 'democratic values' of being a Government "of the People", "by the People", and "for the People", can now also include 'Legal Fictions" that do 'not really exist'. The First creates 'unnecessary friction', and, the Second creates 'artificial human beings', i.e., 'Legal Fictions', both, of which, 'saps' and 'diffuses' the 'energy' of Real Democracy and actually creates a 'Capitalistic Economy' instead of a 'Real Democratic Government'. Where are the Statesmen?

The Constitution and the White House are the 'centers of gravity' of 'Democratic Government'.

The Constitution and the White House are the 'centers of gravity' of Democracy and 'all political activity'. Since we are a Republic, so are the 'State houses'. Any attempt to move the 'locus' of Political Activity to the 'Personal Domains'; the 'Private Domain'; or the 'Economic Domain'; is an attempt to 'step out of Politics' and to shift the locus of so-called 'Political Activity' to the 'Economic Domain'; That is 'destructive' of Democracy; contributes to a 'Fascistic Attitude' in our 'Leaders', and moves the 'political center of gravity' to the 'Economic Sector'. In other words; 'Politics' becomes 'Economics', and when that happens, the 1% is in Power and Democracy is dead. Its no longer a 'Representative Government'; no longer a 'Democracy'; no longer a Government "of the People", "by the People" and "for the People". The 'so-called Leaders'( The Bandido Cabinet) or, the 'Presidents' of our Nation, living and governing in their own 'personal Resorts', 'private properties'; away from the 'centers of Gravity' of all 'Political', democratic, and 'Governing' activities; have 'elevated' the 'economy', the 1%-ers, the 'Profitable'; the 'Greedy'; to the 'pinnacles of Political Power'. How sad; Greed has prevailed. No longer a Democracy, our Nation is Self-Destructing. All so-called 'Political activity' will now have a 'Profit', or a 'Greedy', component. Freedom and Equality just flew out the Political Window. I always thought that, if we were not careful, Democracy 'could', 'possibly', 'slowly disintegrate'; but, I was wrong, the 'self destruction' is occurring 'overnight'; and its being caused by our so-called Leaders. The shift to Government "by the 1%-er", "by the Corporations", and "by the Economy", is 'Deconstructing' our Democracy; a democracy "of the People", "by the People", and "for the People". Where are the Statesmen?

Our 'Nation' is 'Real'; It has a 'Political Integrity'; 'founded' on Political Principles of Democracy.

The Nation( United States of America) is Real. It is 'founded' on Political Principles of a 'Real Democracy'. Those 'Political Principles' are what 'holds' the 'Integrity of the Bottom' ( the Peoples) in place. Each and Every Individual at the Bottom of Three Branch Government is a 'Real' Individual, a Real Human Being, and 'every human being' is Governed by the Top of the Government Triad. The Top has Political Power, but only when its engaged in 'political activity' and only when 'it' acts in a 'Representative capacity'. At any other time, S/he is just a Real Human Being, like you, and I. The Integrity of the Ship of State is held together by 'Democratic principles' which are 'incorporated' and which 'function' as a Three Branch Structure. No 'Political Office Holder' should be ignorant of 'these Political Principles'. Such ignorance can become problematic, especially when successful 'Businessmen', a 1%-er assumes any Political Office. Business is a 'profit making activity' and every Nation needs a successful Economy. But, business principles and business philosophy 'can never Drive' the Ship of State. The 'purpose' and the 'function' of the 'Two Different Entities are entirely different. 'Profits' may 'energize' the business world, but they 'cannot energize' the Political world. A 'Polity' that is 'solely' focused on 'business at Home' and 'business in the International scene', can only 'destroy' the Integrity of the 'Polity and of Democracy'. Such a 'Polity' will slowly 'unravel' the 'Political ligaments' that 'holds together' a Real Democracy. The Real Democracy will eventually 'self-destruct'. Of course, one way that a Polity can undergo that effect is if the Top of the Administration is led by a '100% Businessman', ignorant of Political Principles, and who selects other Businessmen and Military men, to be in his 'Cabinet'. In other words; if the 'Political Peaks of Power' are occupied by a 'Businessman' and a 'Bandido Cabinet', we are in deep trouble. Where are the Statesmen?

If, a Political Entity, such as a Nation, is driven by an 'Economic motor', the Nation will Self-Destruct.

Politics has a purpose; that 'purpose' is to drive a 'political entity' with 'Political Principles'. The Principles of such a Government determines if its Democratic, Plutocratic, Oligarchic, or Dictatorial. We know that the Top of a Political entity has the Power to govern. If Democratic, the Government is "of the People"; "by the People"; and "for the People". If Plutocratic the Government is "by the Rich", and "for the Rich"; if Oligarchic, the Government is by the "few", and "for the few"; if Dictatorial, Government is by the 'One' and for the 'One'. Everyone knows this. But, have you considered Government by the 'Economy'? Well, it will be said, the 'economy cannot govern'. Of course, the 'economy' is not a 'political entity'(the reason being that an economy can only 'work', or 'function', if it makes a Profit). Democratic Government is not about making Profits. Democratic Government is about the Freedom and Equality of each and every Real Individual who 'Live', 'Work' and 'Play', at the Bottom of a Political entity. But, Democracies, like all other Forms of Government, also have an 'Economy'. Corporations, to be sure, are important parts of any 'economy', and they are described by Law, as 'Legal Fictions', because they are 'not Real Persons'. Corporations are the only "Fictitious Persons" who, 'Live', 'Work', and 'Play' in the economy'. Beyond that, an economy has no "Real Persons". The 'result' of that reasoning is that we can 'clearly' see that a so-called 'economy' is 'solely driven' by the "Corporate Nature" and the 'Motor' called 'Profits'. It has no other purpose for existing. The motor for Democratic Politics is the 'Freedom and Equality' of each and every 'Real Individual' in the Social. A 'Democratic Political Motor' cannot survive in a purely 'Economic Entity' and an 'Economic Motor' cannot survive in a 'Real Democracy'. They must co-exist in the Nation, but they must be kept 'Separate'. They cannot 'inextricably intermix'. Now, Picture this: ' A 'Democratic Government' run and operated by CEO's at the Top, and who appoint CEO's for the Cabinet, and who will 'run' and 'operate' the 'Democracy' with 'Economic Principles', instead of Democratic Political Principles; what are the consequences for that Democracy? Anyone, and everyone, can see that the 'Democracy' will slowly, but surely, 'Self-Destruct'. Democracy is about Governing with 'political principles', and economies are about 'making Profits'. They can co-exist, but neither can 'drive' the Other.

A Nation must be 'Governed'; an Economy must be 'successful'.

A Nation is a Political Entity and all Nations must be Governed. A Nations 'Government' is what determines if the Nation is a Democracy; an Aristocracy; an Oligarchy; a Plutocracy; a Dictatorship; or, any other 'form of Government'. A Democratic Nation should be a 'Democracy'. But, its not that easy. Many Nations call themselves Democracies, but or, in fact, not Democracies, or, not 'true' Democracies. Nevertheless, they are autonomous Nations and as such must 'govern' the 'Bottom' of the Entity. Of course, the Bottom of 'any' political Entity 'are the People'. The Top governs the Bottom. But, in a Real Democracy, the Bottom determines who is at the Top, i.e., the Bottom 'elects' the Top. In all cases, the Top must Govern. But, its very important that the Top govern along the lines of so-called 'Political Science'. Even though that 'term' might be questionable, the function of Government is 'clearly' 'to Govern'. There exists 'no other function' for any type of Government; Democratic, or, Otherwise. However, its important to distinguish the act of 'Governing' from the 'act' of having a 'successful economy'. They are Two Separate 'Entities' subject to two different 'Motors'. In a Real democracy, the 'political entity' is 'driven' by the 'Freedom and Equality' of 'each' and 'every' Real Individual at the Bottom of Government. In a 'Successful economy', the end 'result' of 'all economic activity' 'should be' to 'flow' to the 'Bottom of the Political Entity, namely to the People, and to the Social Institutions. Of course, there are 'profits for the entrepreneur'. But, notice that a Political Entity 'cannot' be motored by 'Profits', because there is no 'Freedom and Equality' there; only more, and more, of the same; Profits, Money, Greed. What happens in a Nation where the Top Political Officials are mostly 'Business CEO's', who, evidently, have no idea about Governing? Well, all the 'Political Moves' seem to be 'tainted' by 'Business gains and profits'; hence; Corporations, Legal Business 'Fictions', get bigger and bigger; the 1% get richer and richer; while the 99% struggle to 'make ends meet'. Where are the Statesmen?, and, more important, how did 'that businessman'(1%-er) and his 'Bandito Cabinet' get up there? How sad. The 'human condition' is in 'bad shape'.

Tuesday, February 7, 2017

An economic 'Motor' can never 'Drive' a Political Entity that functions with a 'democratic motor'.

A 'Democratic' Political Entity is 'driven' by the Freedom and Equality of 'each' and 'every' real Individual at the Bottom of the 'Government Triad'( Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches). An 'Economic Entity' with an 'economic motor' constantly strives for Profits. A Corporation is such an Economic Entity. A Corporation cannot survive if its 'driven' by Freedom and Equality. It must 'constantly' strive for Profits. A "Corporate Society" is one that has made 'inroads' into Government. How sad; the Corporate Nature has contaminated the Political Nature. The 'condition of togetherness', characterized by Freedom and Equality, has been contaminated with the economic 'Greed' of 'more and more' of the same ( profits). An Economy can grow Bigger and Bigger( more and more of the same), Greed; and the result, i., e., the 1%, while, a Political Entity( A Nation) can grow 'Stronger and Stronger' because of it's 'institutional assimilation' of the 'real Individuals' by means of Social Institutions, characterized by 'Freedom and Equality' of 'The People'. A Nation needs its People; it also needs its Economy; but the 'Economic motor' (Profits. Greed, and the 1%) cannot 'drive' the Nation; only Freedom and Equality can drive the Nation. The Corporations need more 'democratic principles', and the Nation needs to 'work' on its 'motor'; it needs 'Real Equality'( no Racial discrimination; no economic discrimination) and Government needs to improve its 'Social Institutions', in order to allow a 'Real democracy' to 'filter down' to the 'Real People'( We the People...); Corporations are not 'Real Persons'; they're "Legal Fictions".

Distinctions between a "Corporate Society" and a "Real Society".

A 'Real' Society would be a 'Society' that is constituted of Real Individuals living in "a condition of togetherness". The "condition" preserves the Individuality of each and every Real Individual in the "condition of togetherness". The term "Society" is a high level abstract term that is 'inclusive'; the 'term' that is; but not the reality. In fact, the term 'excludes' many real Individuals, or, many "races, colors, or creeds". The real Individual is left out. Of course, that's the danger of any general 'abstract term'. The terms are always meant to be 'inclusive', but in many cases, they are not. But, the term, "condition of togetherness" does not lose its 'cohesiveness' and at the same time 'includes' each and every 'real' Individual in the condition. In other words ,the Human never loses his/her humanity. Hence, we must be careful when we say "our social is democratic". Is it 'inclusive', or, is it 'exclusive'? Whereas, a Corporate Society emphasizes the corporate nature of the Social. The corporation, being nothing more than 'paper Charters', organized for a particular purpose, are also considered as "persons", within the interpretation of the Constitution. Hence, a corporation is a "person". But, please notice that the "Preamble of the Constitution" begins with the phrase, "We the People of the United States..." etc.. In other words, the 'Real People', wrote the Constitution, "in order to form a more perfect Union". That excludes Corporations. You and I are Real, Corporations are Legal Fictions. They were not at the 'Founding'. Does that mean we must get rid of Corporations? No!, No!, No!: But, they must assume their 'proper position' as 'Fictions'; 'unreal'; arbitrary, economic constructions; in the "Social", and, in the "condition of togetherness". The real Society at the Bottom of Government is 'real', you are 'real', I am 'real', "We the People of the United States..." are Real. Corporations are "Legal Fictions".

Friday, February 3, 2017

A Corporate Society cannot be Democratic.

A corporate society cannot be Democratic because the essence of corporate activity is to make a Profit. A Corporation that does not make a Profit, by its very nature, will not survive in the Social. A corporate Society will always place the survival of the corporation as the primary concern of 'Corporate Functionalism'; whereas,a democratic Society will always place the 'Freedom and Equality' of the 'Individual' as the primary concern of the Society. Of course, the essence of survival in either form of Society or Nation, requires a Three-Forked approach to governing the Social. Why a Three-Forked approach? Simply because, Governing a Social, or, more correctly, 'a condition of togetherness', requires 'laws' for control of the interactions of the Individuals in the 'condition of togetherness'; to wit, an Executive branch; a legislative Branch and a Judicial Branch. If the Social is a 'corporate social', its primary concern will always be the making of Profits. Since, successful businesses cannot be run on a 'motor' of Freedom and Equality in the social, it must strive with the motor called 'making a Profit'. Whereas, a Democratic Social will emphasize the Freedom and Equality of each and every Individual in the 'condition of togetherness'. That's Governing! A Corporate Social will always need to make Profits. There's nothing wrong with Profits, but Corporations are 'legal Fictions' and the basis of Governing is Freedom and Equality of the 'real Individuals'; not the Legal Fictions. The Legal Fictions are 'economic constructions' called "persons" which are entitled to legal protection under the Constitution. But, the 'initial mistake' of calling them "Persons" should not imply that they are "real Human Persons" and that they are entitled to all the protections that 'Real Human Beings' have under the Constitution. They are 'artificial' and they should be recognized as artificial, and they should also be 'compelled', legally, to live 'democratically', like all 'real persons' are compelled. 'Corporations' are an 'invention' of the 'Economy'; and an 'Economy' cannot 'Govern' a People. Where are the Statesmen?

Politicians must understand 'Governing'; Businessmen must understand 'money and Profits'.

Politicians must have a clear understanding of what 'Governing' means. Businessmen must clearly understand what it means to make a 'Profit'. Governing relates directly to the 'Bottom' of a Democratic political structure ( Three Branch Structure) and effects all the Individuals at the Bottom. One can only Govern when s/he understands the 'effect' it has on each and every Individual at the Bottom (The Real People). Freedom and Equality is the goal of all democratic governing. There is no Racial discrimination; no economic discrimination; no 'preferential treatment' of so called "Classes", neither Racial nor Economic classes; and it doesn't involve Money nor Profits. Money and Profits do not come into the picture. But, Businessmen solely concentrate on the 'end product' of all economic activity, which is 'Profits'. A businessman who does not make a Profit will not survive in the Business World. So, what does a Businessman do when S/he occupies a Political position? Well, the truth is that S/he does not belong there. A Politician should have the sole concern (an 'impulse') to Govern 'all' the 'People'. Being a Politician is a difficult matter. Its no 'pie in the sky'. I assume the most difficult aspect is to be 'Selfless' or, at least 'relatively selfless'. All genuine political activity directly effects all the People at the Bottom of Government. Its not a "Job". It involves a sincere concern for 'all' the human beings living "in a condition of togetherness" who are situated at the Bottom of Government. Politics involves Governing; not making a Profit. Government and Business may need each Other, and they may be in the 'same boat'; but they have different 'motors'; and in a Real Democracy; each must play its 'proper role', and "never shall the twain meet". Should they ever 'meet'? "Hello" Plutocracy; or is it Oligarchy? For sure, its "Good-by" Democracy.

A 'Statesman' is not a Businessman; and a 'Businessman' is not a Statesman.

A Statesman or a Politician has an entirely different function to play in the Social from that of a Businessman. The Politicians 'major' duty is to Govern. An Economist or a 'Businessman's major function' is to manipulate existing business Institutions in such a manner that the effect is profitable. S/he is not concerned with the act of Governing millions of People, except, maybe, to the effect that a 'business decision' might indirectly have on the Political Structures. The effect on the political structures, if any, might be 'indirect', and 'not directly' related to the 'business decision'. But, since the priority of every businessman is to make a 'profit', its unlikely that some beneficial political decision made by the Businessman, does not result in Profits. Business decisions, whether directly or indirectly, is always motored by Money and Profits. A Politician 'should' be 'motored' with the 'direct effect' a political decision has on the 'democratization' of the Social or the Nation. Politics should be, by its nature, 'selfless'. Being 'politically correct' is not sufficient. 'Business' is by 'nature' 'selfish'. That's why businessmen do not belong in the 'political arena', unless certain specific precautions have been taken. If these precautions have not been taken, the Political is in danger of becoming dominated by 'economic considerations'. In such cases, the political arena becomes a mere vehicle for the generation of Profits. These Profits benefit the 1% at the expense of a properly functioning democracy that benefits the 99%. Politics must be 'genuine' and not just 'politically correct', and it must be 'motored by Freedom and Equality'. Businessmen have no business in Politics, and Politicians have no business in 'political correctness.' 'Political correctness' is empty and vacuous. Where are our Statesmen?

Friday, January 27, 2017

A Democratic Nation is a 'political entity'; a Capitalistic economy is an 'economic entity'.

A Democratic Nation or Government is a political entity. A Capitalistic economy is an economic entity. Each is driven by a different 'engine'. In other words, freedom and equality drives a democratic political entity: Democratic Governments govern and are required to protect the Freedom and Equality of each and every real Individual. Governing does not relate to economic holdings or economic classes. Everyone is governed 'equally' and 'fairly'. The sole function of a democracy is to Govern in a 'democratic manner'. An Economy cannot be 'motored' by Freedom and Equality. It is motored by Profits and that is a form of 'inequality'. When Individuals compete with each other; its to make a 'bigger profit' than the 'Other'. Economic competition involves a certain 'inequality of striving'; some Individuals have more money than others and competition is usually very unequal. To add to this 'natural inequality', the Government Entity creates corporations, i.e., legal Fictions that only exist in 'contemplation of Law'. Even the Law knows and accepts them as Legal Fictions, i.e., they are not 'real Human Beings'. Nevertheless, the Courts gives them the same basic 'Rights' that real individuals have under the Constitution; they even get to 'contribute' to the political process. How 'Unequal' can you get? The Law; the Courts; create much of the inequality that exists in the Democratic social. They create economic corporations that have a 'huge economic grasp' and then, taxes them, by the 'same standard' that a 'real human Being', who works and labors everyday. Of course, business corporations are necessary to create a 'high standard' or a 'healthy standard' of living. Fine. But, since they are considered 'fictional entities', why can't they be given more democratic 'conditions for existing', like a 'higher tax bracket'; a bracket that reflects more accurately their 'increased economic grasp'. After all, they don't have a 'real family' to house, raise, educate and feed and to protect against sickness. They're pure, abstract, economic institutions, namely, Fictions. A Capitalistic Economy cannot 'drive' a Democratic Nation. it can create a 'healthy economy' in a Democratic Nation, but it can't drive it. Corporations must assume their proper place; as merely, 'Fictions' in a Capitalistic economy that must function more Democratically.

Can 'Real' Democracy survive a 'Plutocratic White House'?

A 'Real' Democracy, by definition, includes 'each' and 'every' 'real human being' situated at the Bottom of Government. In such a democracy, the entire Bottom would live in Freedom and Equality. At least, that is the goal of a 'real democracy'; and the Top would be an elected Body of Representatives. To the contrary, a Plutocracy is Government by the rich. In our situation, that would be the 1% and then 'some'. If, and only if, the 1% decide to govern all the People at the Bottom in a 'democratic' manner, i. e. by Freedom and Equality, a Democracy 'could' be possible. Of course, that is very unlikely. Remember, the Top is the Government and the Bottom is the 'Governed'. In the relation of the Top to the Bottom of Government, the Bottom remains relatively helpless with respect to the way the Top chooses to Govern. The problematic that arises is two-fold. In our 'assumed' situation, the Top is 'Plutocratic' and the engine that drives Plutocracy is Economics,i.e., Profits and Money. It is unlikely that the Top would not take advantage of the Political, Executive positions that they hold to increase their Profits and their hold on money. Economics is 'organized' in a manner that the end product of all economic activity is Profits. The problematic is that the economy cannot drive a 'political entity'. Only Democracy, or a form of democracy can drive the Bottom with Freedom and Equality. Hence, a Plutocracy, constituted by only 1% of the People, could 'awaken' the 99% at the Bottom and that would be millions and millions of 'Real' People. That gives rise to the Second factor; i.e., the awakening of the Bottom in a real democracy can result in a continuous organization of demonstrations in the social. There is no way that a Plutocracy could survive the 'awakening' of the Bottom of a democracy. The People have a Constitutional Right to implement the First Amendment and hence, a Plutocracy would be powerless to function as such. In a 'contest' between the two forms of Government, a Democracy would prevail. A Democratic White House could never become a 'Plutocratic White House'. That would be an oxymoron. In time, a 'Plutocracy' would self-destruct.

Constitutional Democracy needs to be 'clarified' and we need to 'Feel' its absence.

Constitutional Democracy needs to be 'clarified', or, at least, the 'term' needs to be continuously repeated by the 'Real People', until they can actually 'begin to feel' it's absence. Only the 'Real People' can do this; not the Legal Fictions. The Legal Fictions, or Corporations are vacuous, empty, abstract, linguistic generalizations, that exist only as 'Fictions', and then, only in the universe of 'Legal Discourse'; they do not have 'emotions' or 'Feelings'. Democracy is based on the Constitution and must be modeled in the 'legal form' of a 'Three Branch government'. The Bottom Legislates laws; the Top executes them; and the Middle interprets them. Notice that the Bottom, the People, legislate laws. The reason for that is that democracy is a form of Government where the Top has power to govern, but only because the 'Bottom' has elected the Representative of the Top. Democracy is a Government, ( I'm going to 'add' a 'little' to the Constitution; hoping that the Founding Fathers forgive me) "of the 'Real' People", "By the 'Real' People", and most, most, important, "for the 'Real' People", at the Bottom of Government. The Nation is a 'Political entity'; not an 'Economic system'. To be sure, it needs an economy, but the economy does not have the 'tools' or the 'structure' to 'Govern'. The Capitalistic economy 'cannot Govern'; it can produce more and more of the same, ( Profits) but cannot Govern. We must understand clearly, very clearly, that the 1% does not know 'how to govern'. They know 'how' to 'make Money'; and they have 'Money'; but that's all. Their interest of being on the 'Forbes List', must be their only interest. 'Greed' is a strange creature. God save us from greed. How sad. The Nation has the ability to be the greatest Nation in the World; and we allowed 'Capitalism' to 'seduce' Democracy. Its the peoples fault. We need to wake-up. We need to 'Feel' the 'absence of democracy' and 'really understand' that living in a Democracy is not about 'nickles and dimes', or 'greed', its about Freedom and Equality. But, the 'Top' also needs to play its 'democratic part'. If the Top is not going to do that; remember the First Amendment; "...the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances". 'Think' Democracy; 'Feel' Democracy: 'Do' Democracy.

A Nation is not a 'Business entity'; its a Political entity fueled by 'democratic principles'.

A 'Democratic Nation' is not a 'Business'; its a 'Political entity' fueled by 'Democratic Principles'. That's one reason why 'Politicians' who occupy political Office, at a high level, must place their Businesses in a 'Trust'. A 'Political Officeholder' must be free from the 'requirements' of operating a 'business corporation' for Profits. Obviously, not complying with that requirement, places the 'Officeholder' in a precarious 'political position'. Obviously, a 'Politician Officeholder' in that position cannot 'operate his businesses' and 'Public Office' at the same time. Why? Simply because Business is motored by 'Profits' and Public Office is motored by the 'Constitution'. 'Freedom and Equality' of all 'real' Individuals is the motor of a Democracy. So, what happens when a 1%-er occupies Public Office and refuses to place his business interests in a Trust situation? That clearly 'signals' that 'Democracy' is in for a rough ride. Unfortunately, and to begin with, Democracy is already in a bad position when the 'People' in a 'condition of togetherness' divide-up into 'Political Parties'. Whats the difference between a Republican and a Democrat? Well, apparently one is still a 'businessman' and seeks 'profits' and the 'Other' is only 'Politically Correct'. In other words, neither is a 'genuine' 'statesman' or 'states-person'. How sad. A Great Nation is going to pot because those who decide to represent the People cannot be genuine 'Representatives' of the 'People'. We do not need 'Businessmen' 'driving' the Nation and we do not need 'Political Correctness' in Public Offices. We need genuine States- persons who still believe in a Constitution and who really want to Represent 'all' the People and who will help Legislate for the 'General Welfare'. A Nation is not a Business; its a political entity motored by Freedom and Equality. A Nation needs an Economy; but, an Economy is not a Political Entity. The 'two entities' are driven by different 'motors'.

When Capitalism takes over the reigns of 'Power'; what happens to Freedom and Equality?

When Capitalism assumes the reigns of Political Power; what happens to Freedom and Equality? Capitalism is 'driven' by Profits; not by Freedom and Equality. Hence, in a 'purported Democracy', the Nations motive for establishing democratic 'Governing Principles' and 'democratic Institutions' will be determined by the 'Profits motive' and not the 'Freedom and Equality' of each and every real Individual at the Bottom of Democratic Government. Questions about 'racial discrimination'; about 'low wages'; or about 'Jobs'; about 'Medical care' for those not able to 'buy it' or 'earn it'; Freedom to express ones' opinion about 'Political Parties'; 'economic imbalances' caused by the Corporations 'economic grasp'; the ability of Corporations to 'dissolve themselves' and 're-create' themselves under a different name ( a form of Corporate Immortality); the unregulated growth of 'Corporate Size'; the 'Rights' of veterans who have fought for their Nation; and many other questions about the Power to Govern and the Power of the economy; All these questions and issues, and many more, need to be 'asked' and 'resolved'. How is a Nation governed by 'the Profits motive' or simply Money, going to answer those questions. Its not. A government operated by the 'Profits motor' becomes a Plutocracy or an Oligarchy or is already One. A Government run by business CEO's, who are not familiar with 'Political Principles' or the 'Constitution', is already on the road to Plutocracy, if not, Oligarchy. The 'few' in the economy will prosper, the 1%, but only at the expense of the Political Freedom and Equality promised to 'real Individuals' by the Constitution; the Individuals who are situated at the 'Bottom of Democratic Government'. After all, it is the Bottom, the People, who confers 'Political Power' to the Top. We have all kind of Agencies that 'police' and 'control' products that are being made 'available to the People' at the Bottom; why can't we have an Agency that 'polices' and 'controls' candidates who run for Political Office? We need more control over Politicians; and the Nation needs more control over Corporations. Democracy should not self-destruct because the 1% sends in 'unqualified Politicians', or, because 'Immortal Corporations' are out of control. Our Mortality is not assured, and why should Legal Fictions be 'out-of-control'; we are under control of Law; and why should they be 'Immortal? you and I are not.

Any Economy; Capitalistic, Socialistic, or Otherwise, is not a Form of Government.

Any Economy; whether Capitalistic, Agrarian, Socialistic, or Otherwise, is not a form of Government. A Government can have many Forms. A Democratic Form of Government gets its Power to Govern from the People that are to be Governed; whereas, Capitalism is an 'economic form' that cannot exist without competition. Competition exists in every 'condition of togetherness'; but, competition only exists between 'Equals'. There is no such thing as competition between Individuals that are not Equal. Hence, the Democratic Form of Government is the perfect form that allows competition between 'Equals'. Other forms of Government; that do not 'stress' Equality; do not form a 'good medium' for 'Competition'. Socialistic forms of Government, is a kind of Governing that controls 'economic activity' and 'competition' from the Top; in many forms, of these type of Governments, the 'Governing Part' owns the means of Production. Hence, Democracy is a 'Medium' for the 'proper expression' of Competition. However, the Freedom and Equality enjoyed by the 'Real Individuals', 'translates' into the 'Legal Fictions' called Corporations and produces a 'lop-sided economy' of 'Real Individuals' and 'Fictional Persons'. These 'Fictional Persons' are not Real; and there can be no competition between the Real and the Fictional. As a consequence, we are 'saddled' with a Capitalistic Economy that creates 'in-equality', the 'Haves and the Have-nots'. That, in itself may not be too bad, but, when the 'Economic Institutions' purport to 'Govern' the 'condition of togetherness', it becomes problematic. Democratic Government becomes 'Economic Government', or, 'Capitalistic Government' that merely 'perpetuates itself'. The Real Individuals be Dammed; the 'Legal Fictions' ( Corporations), take over and 'Real Freedom and Equality' goes out the window. Government has been 'overcome' by the Economy. The 1% Governs and ascends to 'higher levels' of controlling a Medium of Exchange. A Medium of Exchange belongs at the Bottom, not the Top.

Have 'Real Individuals' in Democracy been transformed into 'products' of Capitalism?

Have Real Individuals in Democracy been transformed into 'products' of Capitalism? If the Freedom and Equality of the Individual is being ignored ( by 'permissive' racial discrimination; low wages; 'assaults' against 'Other Races' by Immigration policies; and 'Border Fences'; Taxation inequality; 'oppressive' law enforcement) while the Corporations get stronger, bigger, and the 1% increases incrementally into a higher class, 2%, 3%, 20% or higher!; the answer is Yes! Economics has taken over Democracy. The Individual has become a 'Product' in the eyes of a Government. What has happened to Freedom and Equality? Government 'Offices' have been filled by 'Individuals' who have no 'respect' for the 'sameness' of the Human condition, that is, the 'Freedom and Equality' of 'each and every Real Individual' at the Bottom of Government. 'Government power' is now used to make a Profit and is 'operated' by the 1%. Freedom and Equality of the Individual has been sacrificed for the freedom and equality of the 1%; the Corporate Society; the 'fictitious Persons' created by a Branch of Government itself. The Courts have created an 'economic monster' and now do not know what to do with it. Its really simple: you created an economic person, or a Legal Fiction, that has taken over Government; give that creation more Democratic duties, i.e. make it respect the 'Freedom and Equality' of 'all' Real Human Beings. After all, Corporations owe their very existence to the fact that they 'live' in a Democracy. Try having a Corporation 'take over' a Dictatorship within which it was allowed to function. Won't happen. In such a case, the Dictatorship owns the Corporation, or, it won't exist. Where's the Freedom and Equality? When the 'Economy' begins to 'understand' that the 'corporate motor', profits, also needs 'Freedom and Equality', it 'may begin' to understand that Freedom and Equality is a 'Democratic Political value'. You cannot have a Democracy without 'People'; and you can't even have a Corporation( a Legal Fiction) without a 'Real Individual' 'operating' it, and you can't have 'Freedom and Equality' without Democratic Political values. Sacrifice Greed!

A Real Democracy is composed of Real Individuals; not Legal Fictions. Corporations are not 'real'.

A 'Real Democracy' is composed of 'Real' Individuals i.e., Human Beings, not Legal Fictions. Corporations are Legal Fictions and exist only in 'contemplation of Law'. They are not 'Real'; they don't 'eat'; they don't 'live'; they don't breath; they don't reproduce themselves; they don't need medical assistance; they don't need work; they don't need a 'home' in which to "lay its weary head". One would think that Statesmen or Politicians would be very interested in the 'human condition' and its 'real relation' to Government; i.e., if the Freedom and Equality of the 'condition of togetherness' is being 'respected and protected' by the Government. Instead, the Politicians become interested in the 'economic motor'and economic principles. Of course, they are also interested in 'human beings' but, only in relation to the economic aspects of the human condition. They do not seem interested in the Freedom and Equality of the Individual. Why don't they Legislate 'principles' or 'Institutions' that would balance the Inequality between the 1% and the 99%? After all, money is a 'medium of exchange', not a medium for 'hoarding'. Sure, some can be 'saved', but; a medium of exchange must be kept in circulation, and no one should be allowed to acquire 'complete control' of a 'medium of exchange'. Today, the Tax rates between the 'Real' and the 'Imaginary' reflect a certain 'equality', but the fictional corporations are 'fictions', unreal, and the 'economic grasp' between a corporation and a real individual will never be equal. For all 'practical purposes', Corporations have rendered 'competition' obsolete. Hence, Tax proportionately; base it on the difference in the 'economic grasp', not on the premise that they are Constitutional fictions; or 'persons'. Corporations used to pay a tax rate of 70 to 90 %, but the Corporate Lobbies 'reduced' the rates based on their status as 'legal fictions'. They are not 'real Persons' and although entitled to some protection under the Constitution, they are 'not Equal' to 'real human beings', and they never will be. That would be a 'Capitalistic Government', not a 'Democratic Government'. (oops). Is that what we are? Well, it looks like most of our Public Offices are going to be filled with CEO's, so, we're either 'there already' or 'headed there'. Looks bleak. Where are our Statesmen and where is Democracy?

A 'Real Democracy' is not a 'Business'.

A Real Democracy is not a 'Business'. A Real Democracy is a Government that needs to be 'governed' according to the basic, underlying, principle of Freedom and Equality of all the 'Real Individuals' at the Bottom of Government. That 'basic principle' excludes the 'business mentality' of doing only what produces a Profit. Governing is not for the purpose of profits; but, for the purpose of establishing a 'form of Government' and 'social Institutions' that protect and defend the 'Freedom and Equality' of all 'real Individuals'. Excuse my use of the term 'Real', but we have 'locked ourselves' into a 'frame of mind' where it becomes important to distinguish the 'Real' from the 'Fictional'. Real Individuals do not live and function in 'Alice in Wonderland'. If a corporation , or a 'fictional business entity', is 'unreal', so is the 'end result' of 'corporate activity'.( that would be 'money' or 'Profits' and 'money' is a Fiction) Obviously, Democracy cannot be 'operated' on a Profits motor. It only functions on a motor of Freedom and Equality. The 'economy' is absolutely necessary, but its 'activities' are 'separate' from the 'activities of Governing' a Democratic form of Government. When 'governing' becomes a 'business', it will effect the International sphere of Governments also. Once the 'political nature' of a Nation's Government is 'dismantled', the 'Freedom and Equality' of the 'real' Individuals in that Nation goes out the window. We need 'Real Politicians', not the 1% mentality.

Democracy cannot survive without 'the People' and an 'Objective' Judicial Branch.

Real Democracy cannot survive without Three Objective Branches of Government. A Democracy needs Three Branches because the Top will house Institutional Power; the Bottom will house the People; and the Third and Judicial Branch will settle Legal Issues involving the Constitution. The major Branch is the Branch that houses all the 'real Peoples' at the Bottom. Since Democracy is a 'Peoples' Government, the Bottom of government is the most important Branch. 'Everything' emanates from that 'Branch' and every Constitutional Issues relates to the Institutional arrangement of the Social and the economy and the Freedom and Equality of each and every Individual that occupies the Bottom. Without a 'grant of Power' from the bottom; viz, from the People, the 'Institutional Political Top' would be without Power. Hence, all Democratic Governments are dependent on their 'Peoples'. The problematic arises when the 'Peoples' divide-up and form opposing 'Political Parties'; 'factions'; and 'economic enclaves'. Division of the Peoples into 'Select Groupings' is harmful to the Bottom of Government because the Bottom becomes 'weak'. If the Bottom is conceived as a 'condition of togetherness' where the uniqueness of the human condition and the Freedom and Equality of each and every Real Individual is recognized, the 'corporate structures' being 'Legal Fictions', would not be as powerful as they are. Corporations are part of the economy, not part of the Government. The economy needs the corporate structure, but the Fictions are not part of the 'Bottom of Government'. The corporation is created by Government, and they might be conceived, for special purposes, as 'Persons', but Government 'cannot create' more 'real persons'. The artificial can never be 'real'. The Judicial Branch should be Objective and place the 'Legal Fictions' in their proper place; in the economy, and they should not be allowed to 'participate' in Politics. The 'Peoples' cannot be Governed by Legal Fictions, or, the 'end products' of the economy, to wit; a medium of exchange, or, money.

Democracy needs Capitalism; but, Capitalism cannot 'govern'; and Corporations must become 'Democratic'.

A Democracy needs a Capitalistic economy, but Capitalism can never Govern a Democratic 'condition of togetherness'. The 'condition of togetherness' is the best 'characterization' of the 'Individual' living in a Democratic society. It is a 'description' of the 'uniqueness' and 'importance' of the 'humanity' in 'each and every Individual' at the Bottom of Government. No one is left out. In a Democracy the Individual counts. He and she lives in Freedom and Equality. Capitalism is different. It describes an 'economic process' by which 'competition' between 'persons' leads to the 'production' and 'sale' of necessary 'products', technology, food, clothing, etc., for the benefit of the Individual in the 'condition of togetherness'. But, it also 'directly' and 'indirectly', leads to the accumulation of 'wealth' for the 'continuation of the means of production' in the economy, and the accumulation of 'profits' for the 'Individuals', in the 'condition of togetherness'. A problematic arises when Government 'creates' 'Legal Fictions', or artificial persons, known as 'Corporations' and affords them Constitutional protection. Now we have a situation where 'competition' between 'Real living individuals' and 'Artificial Fictions', protected by the Constitution, as such, are in competition with each other. Government creates a 'lop sided economy'. That's how we became a 'Corporate Society'. A real Individual can never compete with an Artificial Person called a Corporation. The issue is then, how can the lopsided economy be 'corrected'? Of course, we cannot do away with the Corporate Structure. But, since Government 'creates them', why can't Government require that these 'artificial Persons' also be required to 'function' as 'Democratic Institutions'? They are 'not real', they can pay 'more taxes' to 'offset' the 'artificial advantage' and the increased 'economic grasp' of the corporate structure, that Government gives them, and which 'real Persons' do not have. The economic grasp of a Corporation and that of a real Individual is 'not equal', so why should the 'tax obligations' be equal? If we are to be characterized as a 'Corporate society' why can't we be characterized as a 'Democratic Corporate Society', one that 'respects and defends' the Freedom and Equality of 'every Person', including the 'real Individual'? Where are the 'real Politicians'?

Wednesday, December 7, 2016

When an 'Economy' takes over a 'Democracy', Freedom and Equality 'go out the window.'

When an 'Economy'takes over a Democracy, Freedom and Equality of the Individual, goes out the window. Individuals no longer 'count' in the 'act of Governing'. Economies are driven by 'profits' and 'Largeness'. Economies are quantified and hence can be measured as to 'a large economy', a 'successful economy', etc., and the 'end goal' always seems to be 'more and more of the same', or Profits. The 'Governed' and the Freedom and Equality of the real Individual becomes 'secondary' and only the 'movements of money' become important. As a result, the 'corporate society', and its Capitalistic motor becomes the 'primary concern'. Real Democracy becomes weak an effete and 'legal fictions' become the 'dominant factors' of success or failure, in the 'substituted' act of Government. The 1% overwhelms the 99% and the 'real' Individuals are reduced to 'living in Alice in Wonderland'. The 'real' becomes artificial and the artificial, becomes 'real'. How sad. Capitalism becomes 'dominant' in a Nation that recognizes and respects 'Freedom and Equality' of the Individual, but then, 'greed' monopolizes the 'corporate society' and renders humanity 'inconsequential'. In a real Democracy, the Freedom and equality of the real Individual is controlling. The economy is also important but assumes it proper place in economic institutions and remains aloof of Government. The economy remains an important factor in the Society, but it does not assume primary importance in the act of Governing. An economy cannot Govern; as a Government cannot produce Profits, or, 'more and more of the same'. In other words, a democratic Government has 'an economy', but, 'an economy' can never 'govern' a 'Democratic Government'. A Democratic Government 'protects and defends' the Freedom and Equality of every Individual.

A Real Democracy requires a Real Politics.

A Real Democracy requires a Real Politics. 'Politics' is essential to the democratic process because 'politics' involves the relation of the Top of Government to the Bottom of Government, or the 'Top' to the 'Bottom', or the 'Bottom' to the 'Top'. Of course, the Top houses Power and the Bottom houses 'the People' who are to be governed. In a Democracy, the People at the Bottom vote for the 'Representatives' who are to serve as 'Office Holders'. In order for the People to vote for a candidate, they must be familiar with the 'qualifications' of the candidate and his or her involvement with the 'democratic spirit', and the 'democratic process'. Most 'states-persons', always set-out the 'programs' they claim they will 'establish', and the 'corrections' to be made in the existing 'polity'. In an existing 'social', permeated by an empty, vacuous, 'political correctness', a candidate must establish the 'contents of a 'real transformation' of policy and not become a victim to the existing 'political correctness'. In such cases, the issue is always, how will the 'political correctness', be 'transformed' into a 'real Political solution'. 'Novel political issues' creep into the picture, and its at this juncture, where it becomes important to 'really understand' that the solution to an empty political correctness must be a 'political solution' and not an easy 'economic solution'. A candidate cannot 'buy votes'. A political candidate's 'Political Program' must be based on 'political issues'. This is vital to a democracy. Of course, 'economic issues' may be involved in 'political issues' but, Democracies do not 'function' with 'economic principles'; Democracy is not motored by 'money' and 'profits'. To be sure, economic principles do operate in 'all forms' of Governments. But, the concern with the welfare of the 'Bottom of Democracy' is the 'Freedom and Equality' of every Individual at the Bottom; Democracy is Government "of the People"; "by the People"; and "for the People". Plutocracy is government by the 'Rich'; Oligarchy is Government by the 'few'; Dictatorship is government by 'One'. Democratic Government is not a Business; it cannot be governed by business Principles; Real Democracy is not 'motored' by money, profits, business corporations, businessmen, nor with a 'business attitude'. Democracy is not 'for Profits', Democracy is for the 'Freedom and Equality' of 'every real Individual' at the Bottom.

A Real Democracy cannot persist without Real Freedom and Equality.

A Real Democracy cannot persist without Real Freedom and Equality. However, the equation of 'Government' sets up a real problem. The problem is that the Bottom of Government i.e., the People, must also appreciate and understand the Democratic form of Government. In other words, a democracy cannot be motored by any other governing principle than the Freedom and Equality of the People at the Bottom of Government. That gives rise to the Voting process. The most pernicious and subtle 'substitute' for a true 'governing principle' is an 'economic principle'. In different words, 'money', 'economic classes', 'have & have-nots', or the so-called 'corporate society'. The 'motor' for a corporate society, 'legislates' and 'protects' its corporate nature; not the Freedom and Equality of the 'real Individual'. Some will say, why do you call Individuals 'real' when everyone already knows that 'all Individuals' are 'real'? Well, why do you call corporations 'persons', when you know they are 'not real' like you and I? When you or I violate a Law, we can go to jail. You cannot put a Corporation in jail. Corporations are 'persons' only in 'legal jargon' that states that they are 'Persons' only in "contemplation of Law". In other words, they are Fictions. They are 'not real', so why can a corporation 'contribute' money to the 'voting process', and not contribute to 'Freedom and Equality' in a 'real democracy'? Real Democracy has become 'overcome' by an economic principle. The 'corporate nature' of society has overwhelmed the real democracy in which we live, or, stated differently, the true 'condition of togetherness' in which the 'real individuals','living next to each other', at the Bottom of Government, live. How sad, politicians cannot 'handle Power'; the 'political Power' they acquire, from the People, in a Democracy, is exercised 'selfishly', instead of 'democratically'. They slowly erode the political principle of democracy and, in its 'place', they situate an economic principle, that I assure you, will 'awaken' the 'International sphere' of Governing. Can you 'picture to yourself', a 'Globe', or 'Earth', striving to exist on an 'economic principle', a principle 'motored by Profits'? Where are the 'States-persons'?

Sunday, November 13, 2016

Government is a necessity; Representative Government is a necessity; being "Politically correct", is politically Objective, not Selfish.

Government is necessary to a 'condition of togetherness'. A 'condition of togetherness' consists of many 'real Individuals', or human beings, living together, 'side by side', 'next to each other'. That 'condition' requires real Individuals to 'represent' the 'condition' as a whole. That's why we call it Representative Government. Representative Government is necessary because Government is an Institution required by the 'condition of togetherness'. A Government is not necessary to one lone Individual living on an Island. However, 'to Represent' requires 'political Power' in the Representative and 'political power' means Power over the 'body politic'; its not Power over Individuals, its Institutional Power over an Institution and that means that 'personal self-interest' is not included in the exercise of political power. The exercise of Institutional Power requires a 'working' and 'functional knowledge' of the Institution as a whole. That's where so-called 'political correctness' comes in. The term as it is currently used, is empty, vacuous, hallow, and insubstantial. Its not accompanied with concrete suggestions of the Institutional changes being brought about, if any. In other words, the talk is 'empty', and real political talk demands 'real changes' in the institutional make-up of the Bottom. But, these changes are not for the sole benefit of the Representative,( himself or herself), nor are they for the sole benefit of any 'one sector' of the Body-Politic. They benefit the whole 'condition of togetherness', and not just 'specific Races' (White), or 'specific economic groups'( the 1%, or, the Legal Fictions called 'Corporations'). That's 'selfish', and not 'political'. Political activity is 'objective', personal activity, can be objective, but in most cases, is 'selfish'. How sad. Politicians cannot handle Political Power. They do not understand political Power. They think they, as individual human beings, are 'powerful', when, in fact, they function only as 'Representatives', and only for their duration as 'Representatives': which, thanks to a Democratic Polity, is not very long.

Plutocracy at the Democratic White House.

Plutocratic principles cannot drive a Democracy. Democracy is driven by the democratic principles of Freedom and Equality. A Government that is not driven by Freedom and Equality is 'transformed' into an economic institution that can only be driven by Profits. How sad; an Institution for the sole purpose of Governing is transformed into an Institution for Profits; an Institution for 'more and more of the same. There is no Freedom and Equality in an economic Institution driven by Profits. The essence of a 'condition of togetherness'( the Bottom of Government) is the uniqueness of each and every 'real' Individual at the Bottom of Government. The 'real people' at the Bottom are the ones who transfer and 'clothe' the institution of the 'Top' with 'political power'. Without that transfer of Political Power, the Top is merely 'the Top'; an empty vacuous, 'political' Institution'. In such a case, the Top is 'empty', 'powerless', and does not have the power to 'Govern'. Hence, a Plutocracy cannot govern and should 'not have power' to Govern. That was the reason why the so-called, "Divine Right of Kings" form of Government was instituted. They needed some source of Power. So, they reached to the very Top. The fact is that there is no 'Divine Right', nor is their an 'economic right', i.e., a 'right' based on an 'economic fiction' called "money", ( more and more of the same) which happens to be 'cumulative', and which should be a 'medium of exchange', and which is 'equally vacuous'. A huge 'shift' from going to the very Top ( "God made me do it") to going to the very 'Bottom', for the wrong reasons, ('I have more than you have'). If Plutocracy is 'alive and well' at the White house, democracy is dead. If democracy is still 'alive and well', the People need to 'speak up', and the Media needs to emphasize that we live in a democracy, where real Statesmen protect the Freedom and Equality of the People at the Bottom of Government. The People do not need more 'deals', they need more Freedom and Equality.

The "Social Contract" no longer exists; What does exist is "power" at the Top and 'real Individuals' and 'Legal Fictions' at the Bottom.

The "Social Contract" does not exist. The term Social is so general and abstract that it does not even begin to include all the real Individuals at the Bottom of Government. Abstract terms can be so vacuous that they become unmanageable. If anyone asked, "should the term 'social' in 'Social Contract' include every single 'real' Individual at the Bottom of Government, the answer would have to be "yes", but; we still have a 'semblance' of the 'racial problem' and we have a huge 'economic problem', in the form of the 1% and the 99%. So, what happened to the Social Contract? To begin with, only 'real Individuals' can be said to be able to enter into a contract. So, why do we include Corporations( legal fictions), and protect them as if they were real, in the Social Contract, and why do we include them as "Persons" in the sense of 'contributing' to economic activity by 'participating' in politics? Law does not even recognized them as 'real', yet, Citizens United considers them 'Persons' and entitles them to Constitutional protection, as such. The proper manner to consider the 'Bottom' is to consider it as 'constituted' as a 'condition of togetherness', formed by real Individuals, and not as a 'vacuous Social'. This way, all real Individuals retain their human uniqueness and are 'counted' as 'individual elements' forming a 'condition of togetherness', which permits every real Individual to be 'counted'.This is one way to 'quantify' democracy. Corporations can be protected, but should not be considered as constituting 'Persons' entitling them to the same 'Constitutional Rights' as real persons. How sad. Economic principles have usurped the 'political principles' of Freedom and Equality by creating imbalances in the economy. Money has taken over Politics and the principles of Freedom and Equality. Greed drives our Democracy; or should I say, our Plutocracy.

The Top knows it must govern democratically; the Bottom does not know what democracy is.

The Top knows it must Govern Democratically; the Bottom, unfortunately, does not know what democracy is. The Top has a duty, as a Democratic form of Government, to Govern in a democratic manner. But, it does not always do that because it has substituted an 'economic principle' as its 'motor' and has created 'artificial' human 'persons', known as 'Corporations', which have eliminated 'real' competition between 'real' Individuals. No Individual can compete, in economic activity, with a Corporation. Hence, the economy is generated in a Lop-Sided and 'unbalanced' manner. The problematic occurs when Government is then controlled by 'money', and 'economic classes', instead of a political principal of Freedom and Equality. Be careful, I'm not saying to eliminate 'corporations', I'm saying don't govern with an 'economic principle'. That gives rise to the problematic of the Bottom. Remember, the Top of Government is 'operated' and 'run' by Individuals, 'real Individuals', as Representatives of the People. The Bottom has become fixated with 'money', the Forbes List, and the 1%. The Bottom is too attached to 'more and more of the same', as a governing principle, and thereby, cuts off the Freedom and Equality it is entitled too. It does not understand what 'real democracy' is. The Bottom needs to appreciate the 'Freedom and Equality' assured by a Democratic form of Government. After all, it is they who elect the Representatives. If we study Elections, we discover that in most cases the election becomes a contest between the 'Haves and the Have-nots'. In todays elections, the contest is not between 'democratic ideals', nor is 'democratic language' being used, its the language of a bar-room brawl, and, unfortunately, a contest between the "haves and the have-nots". Sometimes, when the People, or, the Bottom speaks, or when they vote, the result is not always democratic. How sad. Political manipulation is alive and well.

Democracy's sole duty is to Govern; Capitalism's sole duty is to create 'more and more of the same'; to wit, Profits.

Democracy is a form of Government whose sole duty is to Govern; it is driven by Freedom and Equality. Capitalism is an economic form of competition: it is driven by a medium of exchange, namely, money or profits. Government just governs; Capitalism, being driven by Profits, produces more and more of the same. In order to do that, it needs an abstract 'medium of exchange', namely, money. Money is an abstract 'fiction', printed on a worthless piece of paper. Nevertheless, without a medium of exchange, there can be no competition. Competition leads to accumulation. If the medium of exchange is hoarded and not kept in circulation, the end result will be a 1% and a 99%. That's a Plutocracy or an Oligarchy, but, its not a Democracy. How did that happen? Simply, Individuals who should be driven by Freedom and Equality become driven by money. The People have substituted an 'economic result' or 'goal' in place of a political, or 'democratic goal'. Democratic goals or democratic values, to wit; Freedom and Equality, apply to 'real' Individuals or persons. Government creates the 'corporate structure'. It calls them 'Corporations' and requires that they be organized under Law, i.e. as 'legal entities', which are recognized legally as 'Legal Fictions'. As such, the Courts have held that corporations are to be considered as 'Persons', subject to protection by the Federal Constitution. In other words the Fiction, or, the 'non-existent' has become 'Real' and is now subject to Constitutional protection as you and I. Under Citizens United, they can now contribute corporate money to political campaigns. The result is that 'artificial Persons' can now engage in politics more efficiently than a 'real human being'. Is it any wonder that the Nation has become more Capitalistic than Democratic. The irony is that behind every 'corporate fiction' lurks real Individuals who are benefiting from the huge 'Economic Grasp' of the corporation. Those real Individuals are protected by a "corporate veil" that keeps out Legal penetration. In most cases, that is the 1%. There are many rules or laws that protect the penetration of the "corporate veil. The 'artificial' becomes economically strong and powerful, while the real People at the Bottom struggle for jobs, wages, homes, and a 'decent life'. How sad, we are created Free and Equal and we must live in a 'condition of togetherness' that emphasizes 'greed' and the 'artificial'.
